I do hope Asus keeps introducing the ROG phone in the future. Seems like the niche is dying down and Black Shark seems dead, iQoo is going mainstream and no other brands seems to offer gaming phones anymore. So it's now a very small niche. Only difference between gaming phone and flagships now are cooling.

Totally agree with u. BS is pretty much rebadged half baked xiaomi phones, and iQOO, I mean they’re ok but don’t seem as committed.

Other companies are dying because ROG is so Dominating in Gaming Phone market , Asus are primarily known for Zenfone series but now They are more focused on bringing the Best Powerhouse Gaming Phones in their ROG series.

@@ZacharyCheah apparently they aren't. They're supported by Xiaomi but they're not really part of the main branch. They're not even sub brand like Poco or Redmi. Maybe that's why they're subdivision have been in decline recently.

You can't blame the market as gaming phone demand aren't that high compare to the mainstream. See what happen to poco f4 for example. The "gaming" flagship killer was a flop.

I read that there's a bigger better cooler kit that can attach to the back. Can it work with the base or only ultimate version?

You do not need the ultimate to use the aero active cooler, the only reason ultimate has better use of the aero active cooler is because of the aeroportal on its back that allows for like 400% increase in cooling, that's something the old Asus phones has never had, but it is not a necessity at all for the aero active cooler

yes it is same in terms of power of rog7 but rog 7 has ip rating and gorilla glass victus while rm8 has no ip rate and gorilla glass 5..
