"Extra's" AJ Calloway caught up with Sir Roger Moore, who famously played super spy James Bond in the 1970s, while in NYC promoting his new book, "Bond on Bond."

OMG!!! I have had an ongoing battle/argument on "who was the best Bond" on YT, and this gentleman just won the bet for me. While all the other Bonds brought their own brand of excitement to the role, alas, in my concerted opinion, Daniel Craig embodied more aspects of the man than any other. He's the Bond for the 21st century. But for pure, unmitigated CHARM AND GRACE, it was Roger Moore, all the way.

Could you ever imagine Connery, Moore or Brosnan doing anything like that... If you want the Bond from the books then watch the Dalton or Craig Bond, he used to be a charming funny charismatic suave and sophisticated MI6 agent who pumped and dumped super models on his way to killing the bad guy and saving the world, If you don't have all these qualities then how can you possibly still be the Iconic James Bond that every guy wanted to be, it's a complete betrayal of the character Bond isn't an icon for being Joe average serious gritty secret agent with no humour, he was 2 hours of the embodiment of masculine style humour and womanizing Connery set the scene and it was continued through Moore and Brosnan, This is what separated a Classic James Bond from all other action movie characters and why every woman wanted him and everyone guy wanted to be him I love the Bourne movies and have watched them all many times but if Bourne suddenly started chasing the women, developing a sense of humor or began being suave and sophisticated I'd be totally put off the character and that's why I was put off Craig fron the beginning It's why Classic James Bonds like Moore, Brosnan and Connery were Brilliant while Craig is nothing more than a generic action character with a cool name and heritage built on the backs of his predecessors.

And Casino royale (1967) and Never say never again weren't included....got those two recently. So now I'm watching them and having great fun, finished A view to a kill, Moore's last, today. Now as much as I like Sean Connery as an actor I like Moore's Bond more....the man has that perfect British dry humor and yes, the raised eyebrow is a thing down to perfection. I love when he hangs besides a window, looks in at the bad guy, looks away and immediately back with a dry smile, nod and that eyebrow thing....priceless! Suggest you go back and watch Moore's Bond films, free on Amazon Prime last I checked. If you haven't seen them in many years, you're in for a shock.
