Lufie Alice Vedder's voice warbles too much; sounds like he's doing a joan baez impersonation. just glad he's not singing with his back teeth clenched together like he used to. He can't hold a candle to Gilmore. And neither can that guitar player, now that i think of it.

I will never understand why ppl throw themselves at charity concerts complaining about this singer not as good as that singer, not the right song, not the right artist, guitarist a.s.o. - I guess a charity concert is first of all meant to collect money for a certain purpose, which is why the artists perform for free. At the same time some may be there without band/singer/guitarist and therefore the performances are mixed and not the usual versions - which in my opinion is one more charm - enjoy the work these ppl do for a good cause - and shut up!

Graham Broad is an excellent drummer! Nobody thinks to mention him when comenting on Roger Waters performances, but he gives Roger's songs the menacing edge they need. Nick Mason had some great moments, but Broad's on a whole other level. Perfect for Roger's kind of music! And I _completely approve_ of Dave Kilminster on guitar. He does a tough job and still seems to have fun with it. (Pink Floyd _should_ be fun! Dark, intellectual fun, but fun nonetheless!) DK has to deliver all the signature Gilmour riffs we fans memorized years (or decades) ago, and it never sounds like sacrilege or parody. He's putting heart & soul into another man's work; that's not easy. I think people pre-judge him simply for _not being David Gilmour_, and don't listen with an open mind. This performance was virtually indistinguishable from the studio version, but I've seen nights from _The Wall Live_ tour where he put a little extra zing into it, actually improving on a master craftsman's work. Gilmour's guest appearance wasn't the high point of Roger's tour, IMO. Aside from the astonishing fact that it even happened, it was actually kind of boring. I preferred the scaled-down Live 8 version of this song, when Roger & Nick got so excited they almost broke the song to pieces. Like a _rock and roll band_ or something!
