Roger Waters perfoming Fletcher Memorial Home at Rock In Rio 2006.
You can hear, that he is not really singing here, it's a prerecorded backing track.
Unfortunately, the mixer messed it up, so the prerecorded vocals were mixed higher than the live vocals.
This can be heard more clearly in Have A Cigar - • Roger Waters - Have a ...
Roger Waters use prerecorded vocals in several songs live, but to be fair, he is an old man and it must be hard on your voice to be on tour

Fantastic. "The final cut" was the first album, or rather the first cassette of Pink Floyd that I bought for myself in that 1983 of the Malvinas post-war... or Falklands. I was 15 years old then. I bought it after listening to only one song on the radio. The impact he had on me was tremendous. I cried when listening to this song even understanding very little of what the lyrics said because my English was not very good then. I did it because the music moved me. Over the years I became a musician, which means, among other things, a perpetual student of music. I mention this because it is easy to get lost in the deep emotionality and poetic strength of the Pink Floyd lyrics and the vocal performance of Roger Waters. But in addition to the content, which is particularly emotive for Argentines as well as for the British of this song, the technical and musical resources of this and the whole album are many more than high. I could dissect and analyze the harmony and the melody but it would only be something distracting. The most important thing is to understand that the effect that caused me, like many other people, is the result of a kind of superpower that some musicians have. The perfect combination of technical and expressive resources. Even today it moves me. 35 years later. Thanks for sharing this video.

@glacier1982 he does use prerecorded vocals for the harder songs in his catalogue, but he still sings a few of them live. In the case of this concert it seems to me that he was having some serious throat issues because there's future performances in random streets and festivals where hes clearly singing live and he sounds much better. Look up his protest for Julian Assange for example, unlikely that he used a pre recorded track there. If you dont want to see him live because of this thats up to you, but I'm glad I was able to see him twice. Pre recorded vocals or not its much better than never getting to experience one of his shows.

"The Final Cut" is such a difficult album to address critically. It fails to support a coherent narrative, but has moments of utter beauty. "Fletcher Memorial Home" is one of those moments of beauty. It's brilliantly conceived lyric and orchestration are made all the more majestic by the raw power of Waters' vocal and Gilmour's instrumental performances. They both get a chance to standout as performers on this piece. Some lyrics need Waters' unsettling vocals; this is one of them. Then, we are treated to David Gilmour unleashing his unspoken rage on the guitar. Perhaps this was a case of tension between two artists creating a truly great work of art. The performance is nice to see, though the BHB guitarist falls far short of David Gilmour. Waters typically treats the guitar solo with great reverence to Gilmour, by having his guitarist play it note for note, but it's not enough. Though well executed, the solo is cold and clearly uninhabited with the underlying passion of Gilmour's pent-up emotion. No one writes this kind of piece like Roger Waters, but it falls short without its featured soloist. Unfortunately, despite their personal reconciliation, the two cannot work as a creative unit anymore. Some of Gilmour's best work came out of great tension between he and Waters. It was brilliant, but not sustainable.

The Final Cut is everything he couldn’t couldn’t put in the wall album. I believe by then it was too late for the band and they were just going through the motions but honestly Roger was the only one who had anything really to say so he was the one writing that Richard was treated like a second-class citizen in the band and he even used to tune Rogers bass before gigs.

Wow. Someone other than me, myself and I recognizes 'anything' from the Final Cut. Excellent album beginning to end. I agree with J below, only if Gimour performed the guitar solo.
