Lyrics:
Black (Black, black, black, black) and blue (Blue, blue, blue, blue)
And who knows which is which and who is who
Up (Up, up, up, up, up) and down (Down, down, down, down)
And in the end it's only round and round, and round
"Haven't you heard it's a battle of words?"
The poster bearer cried
"Listen, son," said the man with the gun
"There's room for you inside"

Roger. I'm from a little city in New Brunswick Canada called Saint John. My wife. My best friend. My soul mate, who never heard of Pink Floyd before meeting me 8 years ago. Now sings along every day with me. Thank you so so very much for your brilliant mind. After 30 years of listening to your magic I still get goose bumps. Thanks mate. Much love.

I hope Gilmour and Waters can reconcile at some point in their lives before they pass. Edit: I have found out that all members did play together again for a great cause (Live 8) in 2005. Knowing that they made up and went on to do their own things is amazing and probably one of the best endings Pink Floyd could have gotten knowing how separated they got. They will never be forgotten.

I kinda look at Waters and Gilmour as two men who both had something the other needed to be their best musically. Waters with the concepts and thought provoking lyrics. Gilmour with his magic touch on the guitar who made it enjoyable to listen to. Together they created masterpieces.

Elisabeth, only 80 years ago, the entire world was just going to war. And I often ask myself what the people who survived World War II thought when it was revealed to them that Hitler had 6 million innocent Jewish people murdered. And then later, when the people of the free world learned that Stalin had an estimated 9 million innocent Jewish people murdered. Add to that all of the innocent people killed on both sides during that span of years, along with the fighting men and women who died on both sides.

His Music has a strong message that a lot of people don't understand.Yes it's political only because of mans humanity towards it's fellow man. It will only get worse because of greed and their power driven madness for power.Politicians are just the tools of the big CEO's and their companies.A lot of Politicians around the world look with envy at America where a lot of the workers have no rights. No job, no house,no health care. It's as if we have let the money makers set the rules and how we should live within their boundaries. Americans may say that they are the greatest country in the world, that's because they have been told that for so long. If music be the tool of the working class, then long live Roger Waters and Pink Floyd.

This song for me at least has always represented an enlightened global perspective, we are all just souls passing through the mist if life not one of us more special or important then the other. Its up to as Humans not men and women not white and black but as humans to put aside petty differences and spread love, a love not restricted and shared with a few but with everyone. As Roger said "there is no Us and Them, just Us". Peace and Love ✌🏼

David is one of the best guitarists ever. He can make the chords moan and groan so good he is t or bad the two had so it many differences they were great together as we loo l as as apart. Definitely 2 of the best ever. By the way which one is Pink.

@@zeatheist2222 The whole thing? Roger didn't have a part in the writing of it?
@zeatheist2222
@zeatheist2222 Жыл бұрын
@@PandaThiefChannel He wrote the lyrics, not the song. When people say 'songwriter' they mean the actual musical composition, not the lyrics. Thats called a 'lyricist'. Us and Them is only attributed to Wright for songwriting credit. So I assume he wrote almost all of the music here. Though the final production (adding effects and mixing) was Waters/Gilmour.

I just watched a great video on KZfaq with you and Nick sitting in some empty restaurant drinking white wine while answering questions from fans around the world. That made my evening! Your's and Nick's friendship was apparent and lovely. The back-and-forth. Thank you, Roger for your presence in Rock. You shaped my idea of music more than any other artist. Also, Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets Live at the Roundhouse is my favourite new album!!!!! EVERYONE!!! BUY IT!!!! TRUST ME!!!!

March 1, 1973 Dark Side of The Moon was released. In my opinion & many others it is the greatest album ever made. Thank you Roger. I’ve listened to it many 100’s if not a couple thousand times by now since 1978 when I was 10. It is so brilliant and ahead of anything then and even now. Again thank you from a grateful, loyal fan.
