They ply their craft so beautifully and make it appear effortless. When I was young I never missed The Val Dominican Show. It was pure pure excellent entertainment. What a pro and a gentleman as is Roger Whittaker. It’s seems these days that there has to be an “edge; cynicism, ATTITUDE” in all entertainment plus ear shattering and vocal acrobatics???!!! In some areas it has a place sometimes but PLEASE not all the time. Not necessary. We need these excellent entertainment/variety shows to return!!! I’m fed up of the incessant talent shows that swamp the world now, mostly singing. This is deemed our variety now. I’ve turned them off for a long time and look for the greats on KZfaq. Btw did you know that Val was a wonderful artist too. You can find his art on KZfaq. Sorry about that; I needed to get that off of my chest. 🤗🥰

Totally agree with these comments, being a fan of most types of music, went looking for this after hearing `New World In The Morning' on Johnny Walker's Sunday show. This is just brilliant - you could come away on a Saturday night back then actually thinking you'd been entertained. The heads of light entertainment don't have any idea now what to give us in case they offend anyone. I don't think they could run a bath. Ant and Dec - have to agree as well - highest paid autocue readers in the history of television, probably couldn't say good morning without a script to look at first.
