There's a ship lies rigged and ready in the harbor
Tomorrow for old England she sails
Far away from your land of endless sunshine
To my land full of rainy skies and gales
And I shall be aboard that ship tomorrow
Though my heart is full of tears at this farewell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
I've heard there's a wicked war a-blazing
And the taste of war I know so very well
Even now I see the foreign flag a-raising
Their guns on fire as we sail into hell
I have no fear of death, it brings no sorrow
But how bitter will be this last farewell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
Though death and darkness gather all about me
My ship be torn apart upon the seas
I shall smell again the fragrance of these islands
And the heaving waves that brought me once to thee
And should I return home safe again to England
I shall watch the English mist roll through the dell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell

I liked Roger’s voice so natural and easy to listen to, I wonder if he knew the Lord Jesus Christ? But no decision is as important as the one Jesus highlights in Matthew 7:13-14: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Sadly unless Roger repented for his sins and put his trust in Jesus he will not be resting in peace he will be in Hell. Where will you be going when you die? Remember none of us no that day when we will die so don’t leave it to late to find the truth!

To anyone who reads this, My father was in the U.S.A.F. he was deployed to Korea in 1975 for 1-Year. In 1976 when I was age 15, my mother sister and I drove from Austin, Texas to Calf to a Air Force Base to pick him up and we spent our Summer vacation there, but as we went through El Paso and continued driving to Calf, I heard this beautiful song being played on the radio every few hours, I never new the name of this song or the Artist, I just always remember the last few words "FOR YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL" I searched for this today on Feb.7,2014 and I finally found it 38-Yrs later, thanks KZfaq!

His ship was the Pennsylvania which was in the dry dock and received damage and several of his shipmates died...in April it was repaired enough to sail to San Francisco ...while swabbing the deck he watched a carrier sail by with large planes aboard. A couple of weeks later he found out who / what those planes were! They were the Dolittle raiders!! What history. During the war he flew rescue planes...We had heros for fathers🇺🇸🇺🇸🦋🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸☺️☺️☺️☺️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
