The tough times will make you stronger. Your children will understand and see the true, honest and loving father you are. Keep focused on your mental health and having your children in your life. Nothing wrong with driving an old truck and not keeping up with the Jones on KZfaq. Being genuine and honest are true values. Keep up the good fight and you are stronger for talking about things. I run trips with my mates and it's an understanding that the fireplace is where we can talk freely and honestly. Thanks for sharing 🙏

For some reason it's showing this comment is on my solo boat camping trip. It could just be KZfaq messing up. But could you please just double check you've commented on the snake bite video so your in the draw for a snake bite kit 👍

Hey Paul. Enjoying! thanks! Try resting your foot close to the tinder, and rest your knife on your foot very close to the tinder. Shave some of the ferocium rod by pulling slowly towards you under the knife until you get some of the shavings in the tinder. Then pull the rod quickly without moving your foot or the knife. Then you won’t knock the tinder with the knife. The way you’re doing it now is like flicking matches from a distance.

Thanks mate yeah I have watched around 10 videos learning how to do it. Bit hard to do it when I was trying to lean over hot coals to light it. I also didn't like the rope on it. It's too short. I prefer to use my knife instead

Get yourself the under quilt for the hammock set up mate. Won't know yourself. All the cold comes from underneath you. If you want a budget fix, put a foam pad in the hammock. Good video mate.

I want to eventually get the Alton under quilt but it's $359. Definitely not cheap lol. The mattress my partner used in the next video was insulated. She used that in the hammock and she was quite warm & comfortable

The whole reason I purchased the lightweight camping gear was because the little 10hp motor just doesn't have the power to get up onto the plane with the swag in it. It's just too heavy unfortunately. I already had all the weight right up the front and it just got up with just me in there. As soon as my partner came along it would no longer get up. Even with her sitting right at the front

Looks good paul. Try a little trick with your egg plant. When you slice it up soak them in some water with a pinch of salt. Within 5 to 10 minutes the water 0:02 will look like the murray witch the bitterness has been removed. Pat dry then cook. They taste amazing. Looking forward to your next video. 👍

I kept everything really simple the battery is held in by just hooks & bungee cords so it's easily removable. The Kickass power board is bolted through the side of the box. Send me a message on instagram and I'll send you a photo of the Anderson plug housing I used

Mate, that must've been a bloody cold night in the hammock! I need to take you out for a weekend and give you some tips on using all that lovely hiking gear 😉 Until you can save up enough to get yourself a fancy underquilt for the hammock...might be worth buying a cheap single polyester quilt from Big W (polyester is always best for outside as it stays warm when it's wet!), sew a loop on each corner, get a couple of caribeeners and rig it up loosely under your hammock so that when you're sleeping in it theres a very small air pocket between the hammock and the quilt hanging under it, with the sides of the underquilt pulled up around the hammock... you'll be SO much warmer! ... or get a tent 😜. To be honest, I won't sleep in a hammock under gums as I'm always worried about death-by-tree from falling gumtree limbs. Great for lounging in though. Loving watching your journey into new ways of camping. Cheers 👍

Trying to understand if weight is the issue and in cooler weather why you would sacrifice the weight of a swag for a fridge when an esky would be lighter??
@Campingdownunder
@Campingdownunder Ай бұрын
My swag took up too much room in the boat and the fridge was supposed to be a permanent setup where I wasn't limited to only a few days camping like I would have been with an esky. Unfortunately my ex now has this boat & I have to buy another one in the future
