I'll be the first to admit JD can be timid on his recommendations for tow vehicles (though I understand exactly why he does as he has explained), but to hear that guy say 3/4 ton made me snort! At 45 feet long and two axles, I would want nothing but a dually. Just wait until you hit wind with that baby!

I really enjoyed the interview approach. I still don’t like cable slides. I’ve seen used ones and the rubber gets chewed up and I’ve seen more issues with them. Totally agree on the suspension. I just wish people understood the importance and safety aspect of the suspension, tires and brakes.

Great video! JD, I appreciate you pointing out that this should be towed by a one ton! I don't understand why these manufacturers, go after such a small demographic of people who may or may not have a proper truck, whether it's a half ton or 3/4 ton, to pull a fifth wheel that is better suited to a one ton!! Most people don't own such a truck, nor do they check their ccc/payload!

I just took a tour around the same unit. One thing that I found really cool was in the garage. Rogue posted d*** near most of the popular side by side sizes and dimensions. Sure enough, my x3 max. X Rs was on that list and it was in the size of the garage. Pretty cool that they're able to personally. Show you what your size is and that it will fit.

I think that guy is out to lunch if people are towing with a 3/4 ton. I have a 16.8K toy hauler I wouldn't tow without a dually over windy and hilly areas... I get you can do flat low wind areas but payload wise, be surprised if they arent over loaded. you are correct, my GD has a schwinteck for the wardrobe and a R/P for the big slide

You might need to wake up most of these rvs get delivered to the dealership from manufacturer by means of 3/4 ton truck and yes I know what your gonna say payload cargo well speaking from experience and owning 5 of these 3/4 ton trucks that are actually running on rv transport and one of my drivers is hooked to one of these exact trailers to deliver in Florida Thursday and he is under the actual legal weights for the gvw gcvw fagvw ragvw there is no legal standing for payload cargo period I've got two drivers that don't deliver anywhere but California Washington and Oregon so yes they go across country towing 44 foot triple axle toy haulers alliance and grand design and do it legal if you actually knew what you was talking about toy haulers are notorious to have heavy pin weight when empty look where the garage is ( behind the axles) they are manufactured that way for a reason when you load the garage the pin weight goes down the weight on trailer axles increases. So if you are unsure or don't trust your driving abilities maybe you should tow a smaller lighter weight rv or learn your limitations. The reason most rv transporters run 3/4 ton trucks is they are a little lighter weight then a dually and some of these rvs shipping weight is 16000lbs and up and if the driver doesn't have a cdl their gcw cannot be over 26000lbs that means truck and trailer and anything else can't be over 26000lbs everything goes by fagw ragw gcvw. If you don't know what these antonyms are maybe you don't need to be towing anything bigger then a lawnmower trailer because JD would have everybody towing anything larger then a lawnmower that you got to have a dually or f 450 or better yet a class 8 tractor by the way I own 9 of those too with drivers in them so I know the legality of weights also don't forget to check the weight ratings of the tires both truck and trailer. If you wouldn't tow a 16800lb toy hauler with nothing but a dually you definitely need to get some training on how to tow and or drive and definitely understand weight and how to load and balance a trailer or warn people especially the professional drivers where you are at and your destination what roads you are traveling so I can warn my drivers to steer clear of you especially if you are that unsure of your driving or towing abilities it's a scary thought that people like you are traveling up and down the highway but I know they are because I see them white knuckle everyday because I drive on the rv transport and my class 8 tractor trailer either side of my business when driver is out or needs time off

Hello JD. As the owner of a 2019 Vengeance 348A13 purchased new. I was really not impressed with the new Rogue line up. We toured several models 2 weeks ago and my wife and I felt that ours was better built and definitely has way more options for less money than the "New" models. Our unit has dual 7K torsion axles with the LCI easy approach hydraulic lift system, power happy Jack power bed/couch. Plus a nicer interior. My wife and I feel like Forest River pulled 30k out of these units and upped the price by that amount. By the way, we pull our unit with a single rear truck and have for over 3 years now. 12-15 camping trips per year, in South Carolina pulling the mountains often. Love my Titan XD Diesel!

I'd like to see a video explaining the benefits of the rhino pin box vs a traditional one. I don't like the fact that it doesn't protrude past the front of the coach. That would limit your turning radius even more in a short bed truck. Alot of folks won't even think about that when deciding on a new toy hauler.

I personally would love this unit. I would have enough room to bring my big griddle and smoker with me and have room for either a golf cart or side by side. Can you please do a video of handicap options for these units. By that I mean chair height toilets, grab bars, and other features that can help someone that is partially handicapped to enjoy the unit.

Our trailer has a cable slide and it has had several issues. We will not own another trailer with them. We also replaced our standard suspension components with the heavy duty shackles and morryde equalizers - what a huge difference! I must say 2 axles just doesn’t seem like enough for such a large trailer.

Well done. I'm very glad you didn't let that 3/4 ton nonsense go. I pulled a 40 foot toy hauler with an F350 SRW and even though all the weights were within spec it was not fun to tow. Not fun at all. I weighed it at a CAT scale on our first trip to have some peace of mind. I added airbags to level the truck but on a windy drive there were a few white knuckle moments. That's why I don't own it anymore. This trailer needs a dually and that's a fact. I would argue that all day long. You were polite but tenacious about the things you'd like to see upgraded and I appreciate that. While I'm not a fan of cable slides I'd much rather have those then the schwintec slide that's on our current TT. Every time I cycle that slide it feels like it could be the last time. This thing is a beast and not for me but it was very cool to watch your review.

That's a great looking unit. I have a 32' 2021Toy-hauler by Forest River, bumper pull, that has the same features as this one like the hinge assist back ramp, fuel station looks exactly alike with the hose pump back, 5500 Yamaha generator with the manual start, but not an inverter, witch I've had to use a couple of times. It came with 12 volt batteries that discharge enough during the night while using the furnace to keep warm so I've changed to duel 6 volt batteries for the longer amp hours but next week is the first time using the battery system while boondocking. With a 190 amp solar panel system I'm interested to see how it works compared to 12 v. It's good to have a tour of a unit with a Rep to get some feedback from the Company as well. Great video JD. 👍🇺🇸

I know, being picky here but-----------> 1. on further reviews, could you state if all, or any part of the coach graphics are painted because decals are the 1st thing to go. 2. What your opinion is of their insulation specs upon visual inspection. 5 air conditioners don't make it if the coach insulation is questionable. 3. You are 100% correct, safety is a huge issue. If any manufacturer tries to sell its RV by removing what is a safety component that is deleted because of marginal cost, while not popular with them, call them out as you did. In my opinion, while raising the MSRP of these units somewhat, there should be an ACCEPTABLE standard. I know, there is what I believe is called the NVIA, or maybe NVIDA, but that is just baloney. These manufacturers need to be held to standard to protect not only their customers, but also the public that rides on the roads with them. Cutting corners on safety is a no go for me. This is why your channel, and other channels like yours are important. In my humble opinion.............if the manufacturer at the very least is not worried about me, and my family's safety when doing what their product was supposedly designed to do.......tow down the road, then I am not interested in doing business with them. If it is tires, shackles, or suspension, please continue to point this out. Our families mean far more to us than 3 or 500 bucks, so keep on them. And any suggestion that it is incumbent upon us to upgrade these components upon purchase is ridiculous! If we aren't getting the safest product upon purchase, then they do not deserve our dollars! I never believe in government intervention in the private sector, but some of these RV manufacturers need to be brought to heel. Unless people watch channels like yours, they have no idea they could be getting a sub par product, for the savings of a few bucks, and the safety of their families and others on the road with them. As you have stated------------>RVs are mostly built by hand, so of course they are going to have problems. They weren't designed by hand though, were they! If safety for the public and purchaser is not a concern, I harken you back to the Ford fiasco known as the Pinto. I own a 5th wheel, which is not a toy hauler. But, if I was in the market for one that was a toy hauler, I would be asking how many designers at this manufacturer are smoking something funny, and walk away from any product they sell if this is how they want to do business. To try and undercut price point at any cost to safety, is totally unacceptable! Cable slides? Well, that is up to us as consumers to decide. LED, halogen, or incandescent? Same thing. Pleather or fabric? Also. But safety!!!!!!!!!!! It has to be built into the product. We consumers are not engineers, which is why channels like yours are so important. Many seasoned buyers, and especially new buyers, would never, ever know. Keep up the good work, always be skeptical, and at least try and resolve the question--------->why is this unit 5,000 less than this unit. Most of us know why, it is just where they took the 5,000 bucks out we don't. Find it for us-) Little side note--------->it won't make the manufacturer happy, but your subscribers would be thrilled. At least they could then weigh the pros and cons of a 5000 dollar price hike, or take the chance on what might very well be a sub par product. Leave it to them what they see as important. Sorry for the rant people, but it just frosts me that RV manufacturers can do these things without, it appears, consequences.

Brother, the Endurance tire has only been in production for the last 4-5 years. It's not the old Goodyear Marithon tire, if that's what you're thinking. It's well known to anyone following trailer tires that it being made in the US is the primary selling point.
