Though it is also important to remember that Rogue is also intelligent/cunning too, having been raised by two cerebral-minded adoptive parents, Mystique (Raven Darkholme) and Destiny (Irene Adler). There have been many Rogue-wins where Rogue never had to throw a punch, or use her X-powers; simply Rogue using her wits/cunning, her iconically good looks, and her 'Southern Belle' charms. These people understood the mission and characters man. Props to Xmen 97. That animation is just godly. So authentic. But so fresh and new. The music. The references. 2 minutes of genuine “what will happen next. Rogue’s going to start snapping necks”

Unfortunately the general never did cared about helping or harming mutants but I think he should make deals with people that wouldn't make himself a target during a witch hunt.

This is the real Rogue. Not the weak, emo, self-loathing Rogue in the X-Men movies and X-Men Evolution.

I think this was the rare time Ross didn't do anything questionable to the point of treason (i.e. half the stuff he pulled as Red Hulk before Big Green beat the attitude out of him.) Ross usually respects mutants or leaves them alone. So him going after mutants is out of character for him.

While Rogue's actions are understandable, they are short-sighted and wrong. The Mutant kind's reputation is already uneasy, assaulting an U.S. military base could drag down the Mutants further into the mud and make things worse.

I was very Surprised that General Ross had a Cameo in X-Men '97 and I hope we get to see a Hulk vs. Wolverine Episode in X-Men '97 at some Point, just a Like in Wolverine and the X-Men from 2009. Because in this X-Men Cartoon there was an Episode in which Wolverine fights the Hulk!

Ross forgot who's powers Rogue absorbed to have this level of strength it seems XD, Rogue is the best MISS MARVEL we never got in any MCU film, this is how you made a badass strong powerful woman, who ever made the next X-Men live action, if they got a chance again to do Rogue, not BOTCH IT AGAIN and take some notes Kevin, Beau DeMayo and his team nailed Rogue and the rest of the Xmen to perfection, and never came as a mary sue despite how strong she is, still was likable, emotional, lose and win accordingly and you feel every emotion Rogue felt, her anger was totally justified here. This show did such a fantastic work and Lenore Zann jump back into voice Rogue like she never stop playing her, like old shoes that still fits perfectly, she kill it again.

I love that Ross has a cameo in this series but there is ONE problem about ut: Ross shouldn't be here, or in any military power. To explain this, it was confirmed that all the 90's marvel shows were all tied together in its own universe, so in return that means it is tied in with The Incredible Hulk 1996 show (which I watch a lot) and in the final episode general Ross states to Bruce Banner that he is going into retirement and is going to put his grudges of the hulk in the past after his coma in the beginning of season 2. So why is he in a base that is made to trap the hulk and WHY is he still a general?? I love this X Men '97 show but they have to find an explanation of why Ross is back in the hulk hunting game or they have to make a season 3.
