Thanks for making the in-depth video and glad you enjoyed the game! You picked up on a lot of details. Bombs are unlocked in the shop when you ugrade other attributes and have a high enough rank. They are triggered on joystick button 2, CD32 controller shoulder buttons, or with space bar. Potions are immediate by design, it's more of an arcade take on a rouguelike/roguelite. Finally, it's pronounced "Deck-lan" (short e, hard c), an Irish name and a reference to Shamus, an old 8-bit game that's one of the influences for RDZ.

It's a great game! I will pin this post so people can see the space is used for button two. Sorry about mispronouncing the name. Next you're going to tell me "Aluminum" is pronounced "Aluminium" or something! ;)

This is a really cool and fun game! Just watching I’m wanting to play! So great! Thanks for covering it ! I would’ve loved this even more 35 years ago! Heheh.

Wow! If this game looks this good I gotta see what the rest of the competitors are like. I love this renaissance in 8/16 bit gaming. :D

Roguecraft is the next one on my list. I loved the C64 version it is based on. A few of the other competitors looked pretty nice, too

Very nice super addictive game that can function on almost every Amiga, from the base Amiga 500 - 512k chip, 512k other mem, onwards

Agreed! While I do love me some high end AGA games, great games that work on lower end Amiga's are always welcome.

If you want a (basically free) CD32-compatible joypad, just order the Amiga version of Attack of the PETSCII Robots. Comes with one. It's been a great value to me, especially in all these newer Scorpion Engine games.
