Having a weapon that charges from bouncing off stuff, and Jon ignores such plentiful targets as random boxes and lights, the spiky plants.. and most of the enemies, apparently.

As someone who started playing this a couple of weeks ago the statement "Why does this ridiculous character work" rings very true.

Sir Kenny is what we call in D&D a Wild Magic Barbarian. He smashes enemies good but also has some magic. Also I called that ending once Jon said "This is the ultimate coward strat" I said to myself "Just watch he'll flip up right at the end." That's just how these games go, you get overconfident and impatient and do yourself in.

When I saw during the speed ups Jon getting hit every so often at the end I was so afraid it was going to end how it did, with Jon panicking and landing in an attack. Should have just stood there and let the boss die of old age, he looked like he was pretty close to naturally heading out.

The first Rogue Legacy also had some wild and just plain odd combinations. Some were just there to mess with you (such as seeing the whole world in sepia tone).

Used to play the first one a lot and Lichs were OP. They gained max HP with each kill, and could trade that max HP for max MP. The end result is you'd often gain more HP than you lost in each fight and by the time you've cleared all the non-bosses you've got so much HP and MP you can more or less tank everything. Combine it with a trait like OCD which has you recovering MP by breaking things and the game becomes very, very easy.

Did you forget or know that you can spin kick (bounce) off the enemies? I was wandering why you weren't doing that when using the electric lute.

You don't need a ranged weapon for the fairy chest with no jumping. You hit the switch and fall through the platform and just spin kick targets with some air dashing if need be and land on the part with the chest. None of that counts as jumping.

So Estuary Lamech was actually the boss I did last (aside from the ones beyond that first door) because I could never figure out how to light the torches. I turned on the house rule to enable flight because I'm bad at using air dashes, spin kicks and the like. Incidentally with flight Barbarians are beasts as you just start the attack going and then they are a whirling ball of death. I generally saved magic for unlocking the secret rooms and got the unlock so mana potions top up health. I put points into resolve and relic rerolling so I could have a greater chance of body buffet for healing on the go.

As someone who has watched hundreds of Rogue Legacy 2 videos on another channel, seeing how overpowered some of these combos were made me fall out laughing. a barbarian with crippling intellect and Prismatic spectrum, a boxer with voltaic circlet, and a dragoon with comet? you got 3 really lucky chars. If you ever want some tips from another youtuber, check out some of MFpallytime's earlier videos. He's been such a part of the development of this game that his name is in the end credits. But watch his earlier videos, watching the more recent ones will just make you feel bad about your own skills (he is well over level 1000).

I loved the first one, but I can't play this one. With my dyspraxia, the spinjump platforming segments are too difficult. I just don't have the coordination to get around. Its a real shame that there isn't an accessibility feature that you can switch one.

You're looking at the last fight wrong. There is nothing wrong with fighting 'cowardly' if it works. Your problem wasn't with planning, just execution. I'd very much like to see more of this, and NOT in a stream. Not all of us can watch those.
