Love Oligarch! I have the Isola Blu version and couldn't care less for the marketing side of it (even though the blue does look incredible in my opinion). I do agree that the scent doesn't fit that vibe that much. Great video as always! Thanks Ramsey!

I really love the florals and how complex of a summer scent this can be. Almost done with my 3ml sample of Isola Blu and time to make a tough financial decision. Also I could swear I get some of the Midsummer Dream DNA in Isola Blu. TY Ramsey

This one has a gallon of Iso E in it, so it often reminds me of terre d Hermes. It’s nice but I tend to not love iso E heavy scents so I sold mine. I don’t hate Roja like some (Manhattan is surprisingly good and 1819 is my summer date night staple). Great review.

My view is that ‘newer’ bottles of isola blu are very good reformulations. Earlier bottles may well be juice in storage decanted after the rebrand. My bottle is certainly 99.9% similar but performance is different and there is more of a metallic vibe to it than the oily vibe from my Oligarch Parfum. Isola is more of a radiating beast but only lasts about 5h. Oligarch is moderate projection but lasts 8-10h. 🎉

Ramsey, great video even though I have never smelled this particular fragrance. As I already said, I cannot buy any new fragrances. However, I am still into my own collection which is a conglomeration of niche and vintage. For some reason that I cannot fathom,l lately, I have really been into my vintage perfumes. However, it is still nice to hear about new things. I am glad to see a new video from you even if I have not smelled it and maybe never will. I hope that everything will work out for you and that you will not have to sell half or any of your perfume collection. I also hope you will be able to continue your channel and that all will go well in your personal life. Keep on rockin’ in the fume world.

This is great to hear broken down in such detail. Oligarch EDP and Isola Blu parfum never really vibed with me though. I don't really think Isola Blu has a very Mediterranean beach vacation vibe either.

Great review, Rams. Wish I’d gotten my nose on the EDP. I did grab Isola Blah Parfum in the 10ml travel size to really give a fair shake. Yes, I did try it side by side with both versions of Terre you mentioned and agree it’s like a Roja’d version. My problem with this new Parfum version is that the performance is abysmal on me. I’ve sprayed as much as 15 sprays to really give it a chance. In a matter of minutes, it’s a skin scent. By hour 6 it is completely gone. Even on clothes, where most other quiet fragrances may linger for a day or two, this is one is undetectable in half a day. Given that I’m not really wild about the scent in the first place, the price is ridiculous, and the performance is extremely disappointing (many other reviewers say the same), it’s a hard pass for me. Oligarch EDP might’ve been worth it though. Schade.

Sell it to me🤓🤓🤓 But actually, if you want to sell it for whatever reason, I’m 100% interested in buying 🤘

Isola Blu actually replaced Oligarch Parfum which was itself a replacement for the EDP. Oligarch Parfum only got a 3 day release and got pulled as soon as the war started. Apparently Isola Blu is identical to Oligarch Parfum and according to some reviewers does lean in a fresher more citrusy direction. Sadly I've never tried the EDP but the motivation for the marketing aside(couldn't care less) the blue cap and stylings of Isola Blu do look stunning while the name I would say isn't bad at all(I think it kind of works with the fragrance actually). Ultimately though it's the juice that matters and this stuff is amazing!

One of a very few Rojas that I actually like, not on myself though, but I like how it smells and it smells better than TDH. Discontinuing this perfume because of the war it a total ultimate BS. It illustrates so well the whole world we live in, all this cancel culture and similar BS, I do not understand that crap. I've smelled Isola Blu recently, can't confidently say if it's the same formula or not. For some reason it smelled more amberwoody to me than how I remember the smell of original Oligarch. This can be simply because at this point I hate the amberwoods even more than I used to when I've smelled Oligarch last time. Anyways thanks for the review...

I have two partial bottles of Tom Ford for Men Extreme. One of my favorite TF's. Truffle! Also have a decant of vintage Guerlain Derby, and I agree it's a masterpiece. Is it true Guerlain will re-release it? And yes, Terre d'Hermes HAD to have been the inspiration for Oligarch/Isola Blu.

I bought about a 20ml partial of Oligarch a bit back. I can’t get past how it strongly smells of “old rich man”. I do get the bright open, but it still seems to get “run over” by this old smell. What am I picking up on and why does this smell so different than what most describe? I really love Diaghilev, but this, not as much.

The edp is better than the parfum. The parfum has a different name & is £395 for 50ml! Absolutely no way I'd ever buy it

I don’t think you’re alone in the opinion that Oligarch was a really good name and rebranding it to Isola Blu was a foolish move. To me if TDH is new money then Oligarch is Old Money, but you smell rich with with both of it’s your signature.😂🤌🏼 (PS: Don’t worry if you loose bottles, you got a community that’s going to replenish it the very next second💪🏼)
