I have a very big question right now! I have seen that the newest top roland is the lx708, and the way it is described in youtube vids makes it seem like it's miles better than hp605. Ok, the lx7 or lx17 i can cope with not having, over the hp605 . But the lx708 is said to be a huge amount closer to a real steinway grand because of longer keys and equal white and black note pressure which give much more control over the playing. This could NOT be merely about taste if we are talking about people who like playing perfect artistic performances of chopin, list, mozart (concertos), beethoven (sonatas) etc. So my question is, IS the hp605 that much less controllable for great perfection, than the lx708? Or is the 605 in itself already well into all this? (long pivot keys and equality of pressure of white and black notes like as described in the lx708)

I believe it has the exact same PHA50 keyboard. I suppose newer models are even better on sound, as they should. If you can affort it go the LX route, but a second hand 605 could be a bargain

One question about Roland models.. Comparing HP605 and LX7, the better speakers worth the investiment? Also, here in my city I don't have any store to test it, but online, the HP 605 price is close, 100 dolars cheaper, than Kawai CA 48. I am looking for a good key action and a good sound (piano only). Is kawai that superior?

Arthur, the speaker difference, and the way they sound, are subjective. The look is part of it, too. Our company places many more HP605s in home, churches and schools than the LX7. A keyboard feel is subjective, too, but Roland's hybrid wood action will be extremely stable for many years. Playing pianissimos is so controllable on a Roland..... Roland's Supernatural Modeling is unique in the industry and offers unlimited piano polyphony (unmatched) and a very organic experience because the piano waveforms are being generated as you play, not simply spitting our a sample. Also Roland is the only Digital piano company with a TEN YEAR in-home warranty. That's twice as long as a Steinway piano. The piano also includes headphones, a lamp, blue tooth MIDI and audio... the list goes on and on. Teachers love them, too. Great company, great instruments and superb service.
