Republican Senator Rand Paul says college basketball players are becoming "rap stars."
The Kentucky legislator made the comment during the Senate Homeland Security Committee's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations' anti-trust hearing on the forthcoming merger of the PGA Tour and the Saudi-backed LIV Golf organization.
During the hearing, Paul explained his opposition to anti-trust laws in sports. He accused his fellow lawmakers of diminishing college football by allowing players to monetize their "Name, Image, and Likeness" rights.
