Ice Cube Responds To Critics, Addresses Work On Trump's Platinum Plan, Looks To Set Record Straight

Rapper and actor Ice Cube has been allegedly working with Trump's reelection campaign on issues pertaining to the Black community taken from his Contract with Black America.
Katrina Pierson, a senior adviser for the Trump administration revealed the association when she tweeted, "Shoutout to Ice Cube for his willingness to step up and work with Donald Trump's Administration to help develop the Platinum Plan.
As you can imagine, Cube's fans were not happy about the news.
Ice Cube appeared on #RMU to respond to his critics, address the claims being made by he Trump administration and attempted to set the record straight as to why he is looking to press both Democrats and Republicans on issues that pertain to the African American community.

@@cray7867 I've long felt that way too however I will say this. This current version of the republican party that can be easily described as Trumplicans have no problem being open and honest about their hated for the idea of minorities in general and black people in particular gaining any traction in equality. The democratic party, who i think is trash because to me they insist on bringing knives to gun fights so to speak, not only open themselves up to a more diverse membership but also they acknowledge if not act on various issues that move a whole lot more towards representing issues that affect more than middle aged wealthy white men. And when it comes to black interests specifically the congressional black caucus has not one republican member. That may not mean much to you but it says in plain words there's no interest in their part in anything concerning black people period. We as black people have the obligation to push our elected officials to move on things in our best interest and not just sit back waiting on something to happen. Now that said, there are plenty of examples of black people taking full advantage of their position for personal gain that doesn't help the cause but there are even more examples of black people in office or not that are fighting in spite of those stereotypes and disengaged black voters to make a better world for the next generation.

Then he rides in and takes credit for introducing things no one has brought to the table before and that is completely inaccurate and disrespectful to those who have put in the time and work. The Trump Campaign is all about smoke and mirrors. When I saw the tweet, I immediately knew it was probably something that was taken out of context because we have seen it before. As long as I have been alive, we have been dealing with these issues. Each time something bad happens to us, we sing Kumbaya or We Shall Overcome. When are we going to start singing We're Not Gonna Take It! We voted for Carter, same result. Clinton - same result. Obama, a little change, but because of McConnell, pretty much same result. We need to make the African American voter block a prized possession. We start by not attaching ourselves to any party unless they come see and talk to us about things that affect us. In my opinion, Ice Cube did not do anything bad. If Jesus can prepare a table for his enemies, then Ice Cube can sure as hell open a dialog with people he doesn't agree with. This is Ice Cube! The man who is a part of a group that told stories of police brutality and corruption when there was no social media to document it. If he has a different way of going about what we've have been doing the last half century, then I want to hear it.

People like Mr. Cube need to play the background. The reality is at the end of the day Mr.Cubes companies or business interest profits through government contracts by doing favors as this for politicians. Once I heard Ice Cube state that his plan is to make Black Americans (ONLY) a protected group, I know then that he is on a positive track to our salvation economically. Right on Cube!

@Icon X that lady has been working for over 20 years. Activists scholars have plans for decades. Cube is a rapper working with a man who said BLM are terrorists. It's not going to happen. Mitch McConnell has a pile of bills on his desk right now that he will not sign. The president could do executive order but in most cases you need the house and the Senate.

We have not held our community together for decades by believing in lies and being conned. I take my hat off to Lebron and Tyler Perry etc. for helping to do the real work and not being played by the likes of trump. If it wasn't trump maybe I could agree with Cube reaching out to him, trump has shown exactly who he is since the 70s and could care less about changing. I won't even list the things he has done against Black people since he has been in office. Overturning every bill Obama put in place that helped Black people. Amazing that some Black people don't understand or know this. If he gets re-elected there will be no way of stopping his racist ass.

Why don't Cube and his team and the rest of these black folks with money stop begging for crumbs and unite in a productive black community where we can build for ourselves. If you want to get the white establishments attention, start creating something like the folks done in the Greenwood district in Tulsa Ok. Why are we in 2020 still trying to ask for white help when we should know by now that they are not going to help us succeed? Ice cube should try and build without them but until that time he needs to learn some thing about politics because politics and money work together and he could lear a lot listening to Roland. Like i said earlier about Cube, he looks like the scene when he was high on the front porch of the movie Friday when Roland talks about politics, he looks real stupid.

Actually the reparation money will be nothing but a stimulus for the white economy because the state we are in now will only cause us to give it all back buying white produced stuff. I just don't understand there is never talk in the black community about building wealth, "never", why is that? Why is it it that black people spend 1.2 trillion dollars last year in America and we are still asking for help "Ice Cubes words". White people are not going to help black people build wealth.
