This week it’s the unknown, unloved, under-the-radar Rolex Daytona white gold blue dial - the Stealth Daytona!
This subtle timepiece is still part of the current Rolex range and yet very few are sold, they hardly ever come up at authorised dealers, and there is no real buzz or hype about them. But despite that, they have quietly risen in value, and soon may be discontinued.

It’s pure class - it’s one you can wear with everything. One of my favorites. It’s Rolex (probably the most sought after watch company), it’s a Daytona (the most iconic model especially for a car enthusiast) 18 ct white gold (better than steel) and with a blue dial (the most popular dial color) It doesn’t get much better than that. No it’s not the most look at me watch, but most classy wealthy people prefer brands and items what doesn’t attract too much attention. #keepit

I personally LOVE IT...its very dressy and when exposed to sun light it POPS...having seen your collection (KUDOS ON THAT BTW) I think this piece fits right in...:)

Selling it now would be a mistake, as it’s currently undervalued, not to mention that in future years it’s obscurity and lack of popularity will make it much rarer than the yellow-gold Daytona and, quite possibly very valuable, as is often the case with watches that weren’t very popular initially.

Lovely watch. I would keep it. I’m into my blue dials as well. My local AD Prestons of Wilmslow had one a few years ago, the blue dial looked fabulous under the artificial lighting.

Great watch. Definitely less flashy than the green, but my preferred one of the two. And just to add, Rolex have discontinued many Daytonas over the past few years. All Arabic numeral versions have gone as have all of the mother of pearl dials.

Thanks for the great video and Daytona history lesson! For me this watch doesn’t do it, I would take the green dial any day. But that’s what makes this hobby so great, so many different likes and opinions. Regarding the new meteorite Daytona, you said you don’t like it but I think I will love it. Of course I would like to see them in person.

Have to say I have similar feeling about my blue dial Daytona, love the feel of it especially the weight but I too feel the dial is a bit bland unless the sun hits it. I have also just purchased my first Vacheron but unlike you I had no luck getting the 4500v and instead got the dual time 7900v.

I agree that there are too many Daytona variants. On balance I quite like the understated look of this blue face and actually prefer it to the Green and gold, but that Overseas does make it look a bit dowdy. Looking forward to the Vacheron Constantin episode. BTW what happened to the recent Patek nautilus episode.

Have you got that mythical unicorn tree in your back yard? The VC is very sharp. Congrats. Knockout dial. Any Daytona is a great addition to a collection. Some are just more desirable than others. Don't sell it.

I have never been able to talk myself into loving a watch. I either feel it or I don’t. I never sell my watches but they end up just never being worn. A shame really. This hobby can be infuriating!

I don't get it, I think this is one of the prettiest Rolex watches out there. If my AD called me and said she had a blue Skydweller and the blue Daytona, I couldn't decide. I think my only complaint is its pretty hard to see the hand. I have a platinum Omega Speedmaster and its almost impossible to see the hands against the platinum dial.

I’ve got one on order ,AD has told me I should have it by the end of the year what I like about it is it’s so unassuming but the blue dial tells the right people who know watches that you are wearing a precious metal watch I love the fact how understated it is , can’t wait

Snore...... I had this for a year; boring, sold it off; just to much stealth for a very big premium. Put your money on a high horology piece, we’re talking holy Trinity money for a movement that is a 12k watch. Trust me, there isn’t 30k worth of gold in the overpriced watch. I’m happy I could cash out of the hype for some other sucker to wear. Have fun! Same for the Green dial too!
