It has finally arrived - the Rolex that Damian has been waiting for the longest is here in TheWatchGuys.tv collection, and he couldn’t be happier!

When I was with Rolex AD last week collecting a watch, they stated quite a few watches, professional models coming in. Potentially the December allocations from Rolex early etc. Helping out ADs. Good to hear.

Love that watch! I remember being in a Rolex store some years back, and a woman was looking at buying a Daytona, they only had this one and one other in stock. She didn't like the green... so I think she ended up buying non of them! If I had the money back then, I would definitely have bought that watch. It's so beautiful, that woman must have been crazy!

Congrats Damien great piece. I hadn’t even really heard about this watch until John Major on talking watches. And then like you said the watch just skyrocketed. I was quoted 5-8 years for a steel Daytona or gmt master. But it’s ok I’m willing to wait my Seiko 5 sea urchin will hold me up tell then 👍🏿👍🏿

Hi Damien, love the Daytona, I have the 18ct Yachtmaster with Tahitian mother of pearl face which I bought new old stock 2012 & that dial is amazing so many different tones. The green dial on your new Daytona looks fantastic. With your car & watch collection you're certainly living life. Just enjoyed your new exhaust video for the Porsche.

Amazing watch, never owned a nice watch i asked a rolex dealer anout the new green face steel sub, 5 to 7 year wait, also half gold black face daytona was 2 to 3 years. You and others damian have made me abit obsessed with rolex and i thank you and cant wait to buy my first. Great videos mate on both channels.

@@TheWatchGuysTV Despite not having any purchase history with a lot of patience and persistence I’ve purchased 7 x Rolex Steel Professional models from 5 different AD’s in the UK since I made my first enquiry 4 years ago - including the ‘James Cameron’, ‘Hulk’, ‘Batgirl’ and 41mm ‘no date’ Sub. It’s nice to know that there are still a few ‘honest’ AD’s who don’t sell out of the back door or ‘bundle’ to grey dealers. Really enjoy your content Damien - continue to enjoy your beautiful collection - especially that stunning new addition!👍🙂

Hi Congratulations mate, I think every watch enthusiast had experienced this happiness, after long waiting/hunting time for a timepiece. The Rolex Daytona is a beautiful watch. Now I wonder if you can help me see and learn the story of a Rolex model that existed in the 80's. As soon as I hear the word Rolex, I think of this watch that was often shown as an advertisement in various magazines. What I remember was that the watch was in yellow gold, and the dial was available in the colors green, blue and red. Some of these Rolex watches had what I think were diamonds instead of numbers and others were gold rectangles. I think that some even had where it said weekday and number whose 3rd should have been. I think it was the most beautiful Rolex model I have seen. So today I like gold watches and if they have red, blue or green dial, they will be even more beautiful regardless of brand. Hope one day you can afford to buy such a Rolex from the 80's.

Really enjoy seeing your wonderful collection. If only Laings sold car’s too... 😉 It’s great to see such an iconic brand working with established AD’s reciprocating customer loyalty. No doubt this controlled supply ensures that demand and residuals stay strong, but must bolster brand desirability and confidence too ? A principle the car world could learn from surely.

I walked into an A.D in Manila back in mid 2018 and they had this solid gold green dial along with the white gold blue dial just sitting in the display case next to each other. Back then I think they both could have been had for a not insignificant discount.
