originally I wanted the date but to be honest at when I got the call for a no date i immediately took it. The no date is so much more classy, un complicated and a breath of fresh air. One if not THE most famous watches of all time. This is THE Rolex. I don’t need the date as much as I thought it would.

As with many (Rolex but also other brands) watches, some of them look so much better in the flesh (metal), this is one of those pieces. Stunning in real life.

Bought a 2020 no date in 2023 +$2500 above current list price ! This is the one Rolex. Although cheapest. Is so strong resales. Cannot wait 28 months

I expressed interest with my AD back in June and got the call to pick up in October after a 5 month wait so it is possible to purchased a Submariner at retail. You have to build a relationship with your AD and having a bit of spend history helped in my case - purchased a Tudor Black Bay Bronze in 2017 and Omega Speedmaster in 2020. Couldn’t be happier with the Submariner 124060 - such a clean dial and l actually had a choice between a date and non Date offered by my AD and l wanted the purity of the no date. After l picked up the Sub, my AD called me 3 weeks later to offer the Tudor Pelagos FXD which is also a non Date version of the already brilliant Pelagos 😎. Will be looking to add the GMT Batman next year 😅

I am fascinated by Rolex, in fact it is the only brand that I have three pieces of, but in my opinion it only has two things better than Omega and Grand Seiko, the marketing and the appearance.

I bought this today on the grey market. I can’t stop looking at my wrist. Had no issue buying it today and happy I didn’t play the AD politics game of buying 2-3 watches I don’t want just to be on a waitlist.

I love this video and will watch your others! You've done an "over the top" review of the Submariner in mentioning all the finer details and sharing your honest opinion of the watch and purchase. Btw, my AD admits there's no lists but as they say, they take person of interest requests for whatever watch you desire and tell you up front they're unsure how long it will take, but they'll eventually get it. With that said, I put in my requests this past April for the 124060 and got the call two weeks ago. I love mine, just afraid to wear now like most of my other 5 digit series watches :). ***May I asked what your using in setup for the video, specifically camera equipment used as the video details are spectacular. I’d never understood they hype around the Sub and then saw this model for the first time last week. Now I get it! Your review perfectly summed up my feelings when looking at this sub. As you said, the quality of clasp, bracket and beautiful look is just next level. The shine of the hour enumerate and dial just left me speechless. It made my SMP300 and BB58 just look second rate.

Great review and honesty, on the time it took on allocating this beauty! There are a lot of liars on KZfaq or other platforms, that say the they got their hard models in 1 week to 2 months! The buy the watch on the Grey market, then say they got the call!

Submariner No Date= The Perfect Watch!

Congrats! I put my name down in late 2019 for one which was the maxi case. I am glad I didn't get the call for that one and I am now waiting for the 41mm. Any day now hopefully.

Recently got on the list for a Sub no date. Hoping I don’t have to wait years to get a call. Wish me luck.

I have had 2 Omegas and then a Seadweller. Rolex beats Omega due to the resale value. The Rolex bracelet has evolved into perfection. So comfortable, easy to size yourself and nothing snags and it’s super secure. Expensive but awesome and a good investment. Waiting for a Sub as I sold Dweller. Can’t wait. Won’t go back to Omega 🙃

I had to wait 10 days for my Steeldive SD1953 and it looks identical to yours but it only cost £70. A true tool watch! 😉

If Rolex would make it available, I’d buy one. If the sellers in the Grey Market would stop trying to rip people off ( $5K and more over RRP) I’d buy one there. Both don’t so I don’t get one.

If the flippers are buying these then selling them, flippers or the watch cartel should I say, selling these all at the same price, if you were to buy one, then what? There are about 350 for sale on Chrono24, and all around the same price. If you were to buy one, to wear, strange concept buying a watch to wear and not flip, will you never get your money back should you beside to sell? Shock horror, someone selling a watch besides wanting to rip someone off. Because they were able to get it from the stinking AD they managed to bribe and you ended up over paying on the grey market. And the money has been made. I can’t see these watches going up in price.

You obviously do not understand Rolex. The Rolex movement is more robust than any other competitor. It’s certainly not finished well but that’s not the objective. Rolex makes the finest luxury tool watches. Better than Omega, GS, etc. Many purchase a Rolex because of the prestige others purchase a Rolex because it is the best at what it does.

If you get the call on the list. It's not because you are on the top of the list. You are basically last on the list. 🙃
