I prefer the older more slimline case. I have an Explorer and I love the elegance of the case. I fancy a sub in the future but would go for a non date pre 2010 version I think.

The old case is 100 times better looking. It's like comparing a supermodel and a fat lady. :D

I own the older version, exactly like yours and agree with everything you have said about both watches. Hard to decide as they are both beautiful time pieces. The new version has all the DNA from the previous generation, but with new improvements and and some enhancements including I might add, an improved clasp and more robust bracelet. And since I have not tried on the new version, can't tell how comfortable it is on the wrist compared to the older version but I'm sure it is just as good. So, it all comes down to personal preference. And also, availability.

I prefer the older slim case, and the new dial and bracelet. It would be great if Rolex upgraded Sub like this plus new movement! Nice video side by side!

The Maxi case is ugly and looks unrefined. I think Rolex took a step backward with this heavy piece of metal.

the so called maxi case is much more attractive masculine and looks more stable and better quality. slim case is for guys whith tiny wrists or women.
