Hi Bear! Very nice pair of TT, in mint condition! The sunburst dial of the bluesy is just so gorgeous, and I agree that the new "C" is not doing it, the maxi dial and big hour markers, the thicker hands, the ceramic bezel and the color/texture of the dial is just different. The pre-ceramic looks more delicate and precious, not to mention the tritium dial. The GMT jubilee is in such perfect condition! This watch must have been a safe queen, what a beauty! Yes there is such a hype for the stainless steel these days, and somehow the TT are just reflecting the 80's and 90's and it's maybe to close in time, so they look "dated", out of fashion, but have not really yet entered the "vintage world", so there seems to be hardly no love for them. In a way it is good as you can find a lot of pre "C" TT for the price of stainless or sometime even cheaper that SS. Not only are they beautiful, but I think it is a good time to buy, as eventually they will come back around as "true vintage" in coming decade. I recently read a review talking of the "TT come back"... Talking about TT I am picking up a 16523 inverted 6 champagne dial "N" serial today (full set), safe queen, can't wait to have it.Great video, and truly beautiful watches, congrats! It makes me want a pre C bluesy too. ;-)

Two nice two-tones. I have a GMT II root beer from the early '90s. Glad I found your channel. With two-tone you get the strength of steel and the beauty of gold together.

Hi Bear, I also fell in love with the GMT Master many years ago. This past year after 30 years of waiting I was able to find a beautiful 1999 TT GMT Master II 16713 on Jubilee bracelet. Yes I had to add 2 links to the standard size to fit but oh what a watch. I had a SS Sub back in the early 80's but IMHO this watch is more beautiful. Hope to pass it down to my son in the years to come.

Two beautiful watches, I too own a pre ceramic two-tone bluesy. My collection runs the gamut from a black DLC pilot to date-date yellow gold with everything in between. The bluesy very special owing to its spectacular contrast the combined materials create, extremely appealing to my eye. Don’t know what’s changed putting two-tones out of favor (or even solid gold) but I don’t subscribe to the trend and continue to fly the flag. I still believe it makes a watch wonderfully versatile in how, with what, and where they’re worn. Stainless steel watches are terrific but given the choice (and money) I’d swing in the two-tone direction. Still fantasize about putting that gorgeous two-tone jubilee bracelet from your GMT on my bluesy sub, me thinks it’ would look amazing!!! Ciao Bear.

Hi 👋 Bear! Great Vid as always! I agree with you 💯 %! I have a Datejust 41 ( two tone ) and a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ( 116503 ). What’s your opinion on the above mentioned models? Sometimes I do feel kinda paranoid and think that I’m showing off! But I just wear them because as you said, they are just beautiful time pieces. But sometimes I avoid wearing them and wear my SS models like my Explorer 1( 214270 ) and the Ceramic Daytona ( 116500 LN ) or the GMT MASTER 2 BLACK (116710 LN ). It’s a great topic you touched on and I won’t completely deny that sometimes I feel kinda awkward wearing the two tones! I won’t lie, I do! Excellent review and beautiful pieces!!!👍🏻👌🏻. I think the crown must have been swapped? Two-tone models have the twin-lock crown with the solid line underneath, not the two dots. This crown must come off a solid-gold model if I am not mistaken?

The GMT is beautiful. I've never considered a two tone Rolex, but your watch is so appealing i am going to keep my eyes open for one. The pre-ceramic black and yellow gold is so classy, not ostentatious at all. Not so sure about the blue Sub, a bit too showy for my taste. Always liked the Smurf, but as you mentioned, the all gold Rolex watches are considerably more expensive, and the gold alone does not justify the hike in price.

My thing in Rolex is brushed steel, black dial, plastic crystal, and intense full patina, love traces of wear, scratches... No shine, no gold, no jewelry stuff. The watch must show age, history, a soul. My ultimate Rolex : the 1665 Double Red - original dial ! I have a shiny Milgauss : love the watch, but don't like to wear it too much. Go figure, watches are complicated. Vintage subs with strong patina rule ! The more patina, the better.
