I'm really glad that you keep falls in your footage as well. Oftentimes when I'm learning, I come across videos of people skating so so perfectly that I'm like "ah oop, this learning curve seems huge", but like...falls kinda make you human, yknow? It's nice to see, though I hope that the fall didn't hurt too much! I'd also really appreciate a video on how to build up speed if you can! I feel like right now I can sorta move forward, but I'm so scared of going fast that the smallest of cracks in the pavement are tripping me up @.@

Okay this is exactly what I needed. I am crying my way through nursing school. (It is awful trying to adapt to it online) And dealing with the stress of working in the hospital. My light up wheels (I bought though Planet Roller Skate!) bring me so much joy!! You are so right about getting a skate in to bring yourself back to center. Thank you for running the shop and keeping us rolling!

Its SO much better after you graduate, and pass the NCLEX, and can just get on with your life... without having a care plan hanging over your head, or a million chapters you have to read before tomorrow. Finding empty parking lots while running essential errands has really been helping. I'm also fortunate enough to have a little concrete porch and wood floors in my home, so that helps too. I was getting back into park skating right before the outbreak and I'm so afraid all of my progress, mental and physical, will disappear once things are settled, whenever that may be. I'm thankful for good music, good food, and the ability to move my body, whether it's working out, skating, dancing, or whatever. Hope everyone is hanging in there. 💖

All I do lately is 1. Roller-skate 2. Binge your videos!! My feet are full of blisters but I'm so happy I impulse bought skates and signed up for roller derby two years ago because skating is my go-to stress relief activity. No more roller derby now but I'm trying to improve my street skating, and watching your footwork and tutorials really help! Thank you!

Thank you for working hard long days to keep providing skates. I am a waldorf handwork teacher in Kansas and am now not teaching until school starts again in August 🤞. I love knitting and sewing but what I really need is movement. So I recently came across Estro Jen video and then started watching your videos and now I want to order my first pair of skates. I love that you show yourself falling to show that it's okay and that everyone does it!!!! I used to figure skate competitively and I had to stop because I got this weird mindset of being scared of falling, but you've inspired me to give roller skating a shot!! I know ice-skating and roller skating are def not the same, but I look forward to having the feeling of wind on your face and cruising again sometime in the future. why I finally got the courage to go ahead and get a pair: I remember having fun at my only time going to a skate rink with my friends I was getting the hang of it but we only stayed for a few hours which is not enough time 😕 after that day I really missed the feeling of going fast trying not to fall and holding hands with my friends with the music playing in the building 😢 so I want to learn and get comfortable ! Also yt recommended it ive searched high and low for all types of tutorials 😂 your channel has really come in handy! Thank you 💖

This is so inspiring to watch! Where I live roller skating doesn’t really count as a proper sport so we’re not allowed to go out and skate (even in a big open/empty space!) but my mum made me my own roller disco in our living room! 🥺✨
