I love your honesty and candidness especially about body conditioning and age and how it affects you and your skating style. As an older skater myself never your level or body fitness level. I have been hard on myself for not being able to do what I once could or take the discomfort I once could.

Quite awesome that they made the 110mm version, perfect (not only) for ladies. I recommended it to a friend and since then got a regular companion for long distance skating. Happy!

Having the axles on the right means they don't unwind themselves if they get a bit loose. Could be a safety feature, not just cost.

What you can really see in Rollerblade brand, they have a good design team. The shapes, the materials and the colors are often premium and on point. More than from the other usual suspects. I think it also comes from their long history. Sure, design is often a question of personal taste. I just tell from my personal observation as an industrial designer myself. Will order them now ✌🏼

I think you making a good point on the company saving some expenditures in putting the heads of the screws in that position. In my POV this design helps in saving time coz you don't have to change use both hands in unscrewing then while they are on your feet. This saves time too. Only one hand can open both the right and the left screws :)

Great video. played hockey my whole life, looking to get into rollerblading more seriously and this video was great! The molding process is cool and definitely works super well for hockey skates but these will be a perfect intro competitive skate

The 45eg strap seems to be just to give the skate more structural rigidity since the whole top is connected to one side. I don't think that one needs to be super tight. Is just so your heel stays in the pocket. That's also what I found with my 3WD. The 45deg strap doesn't help with ankle side stability nearly as much since that's the work of the cuff. I barely crank that buckle, just enough for my heel to stay in place. To use these without cuff you need to have pretty good technique and trained ankle muscles cause if you go sloppy your ankles will not take the beating. You'll start pronating real bad out of ankle exhaustion and with such a tall long frame you risk breaking your ankle.

The boot looks exactly like a skate-skiing boot. I might get these for off-season training. Better than chewing up my expensive skate-ski boots while rollerskiing.

I'm a bigger guy that is getting back into rollerblading after a 10 year break. I rode from like age 3 to age 18. One problem I have is I have quite large/muscular calves and most boots rub on the bottom of my calf muscle. Would a boot like the slightly higher version of the two be a good investment even for just cruising around town or at a rink?

I think that if you need to tighten/loosen the wheels quickly and not change hands the screws are better placed the way they have them. You just tilt your feet in one direction and voila. Just guessing of course. 😊

Little correction concerning the frames; not only a cost effective way to produce, but the axles fasten in the same forward direction on both frames so that they can't turn themselves loose during skating...

What you said toward the end about tripping on your feet because of the wider base makes me wonder if these, or the Rollerblade Maxxum Edge 125 would be the better upgrade? I got mine, build quality is amazing. But the laces are difficult to tight up. I will try to replace the laces. And I think the 45 degree strap are just for keeping lace ends in case they get loose and also for aesthetics. Thus, I suggest to really take your time when choosing the right size before buying these.

Say Ricardo have you seen the atom Pro Fitness skate? They make a 3x110 that's 11.6 in Long it seems like the perfect skate to not be too tall not be too long be able to maneuver but still speed skate but have support. I'm really curious about the build quality. I'm wondering if they would let you try them. It would be awesome if you gave these a shot and if you get the chance some feedback! Can I change the frames of these boots? I know RB does some boots with fixed frames like the Macroblades

Got them for 2 months now but having a lot of problem with several painfull pressure points at the ankle and top of foot.

Got mine 2 weeks now, they should have made them heat moldable

my ankles are so freaking small, i can wrap my thumb and ring finger around them, bout an inch shy, I want something comfortable yet rigid for power transfer and I used to go on like 50 mile rides on K2 motos, so long ago, no Im all beat up 20 plus years later but I think I wanna get back into it, something fast but maneuverable

A pretty positive review. It looks like this 2nd version is superior to the first. I have the older 110mm model and the lacing system is pretty crap..really difficult to tighten up, looks much improved now. Dear Ricardo, I appreciate too much your way to share all you knowledge about this beautiful sport But this time I bet you will never use those skates in the real life. May be complicated to not give a good opinion of the skates have been sent to you for review, but if anyone believe in your words telling that this skate is fine, could buy them and would have a very ugly experience about skating, you know this. If use them with the upper cuf, it is not more comfortable than any hard boot skate as Falcon F.E. or Imperial PS. And if you use it as low boot it is a nightmare. As it is not hard boot, all support is given by the laces so that type of pressure damage the blood traffic into the feet. And you must feel this pain on your feet because you didn't talk just positive about the boots. I suggest you to be really honest for all people who appreciate you because all good information you keep sharing with us so long ago, I figure most all of us believe you are a free man who usually tell us your own mind opinions, I feel some sorry for you this time because of this video. As you some way say in a moment, the only good thing about this skates must be their frames to use for 3x125mm wheels. Besides this comments, I always will think you are an excellent person and keep thank you for all your kind instruction so long time to now. 1000 good tips vs 1 bad comment. No way to change our mind about so much you are one of the best on this field by all the different matters you share from tips about simply wheels to show us real factories. They are garbage, they wear out so fast, the boot is bulky with too much padding. I switched to powerslide arise and they are way better and there wheels and bearings are superior to rollerblade. The price of the two are basically the same

So glad I didn't waste my money on this crap
