Rolling Thunder motorcycle convoy that was expected to arrive this evening on Ottawa has brought out other folks with memories of the Freedom Convoy in Feburary. Police are trying to choke all entry points into downtown. A massive police presence showed up on Rideau Street to remove some freedom protest vehicles. Pretty crazy.

The police are separate people who are instructed to stand and watch the crowd and they are paid as far as I know about seventy dollars per hour from the tax payer money. They enjoy their job so they are not people when on the job, they are just playing the role they signed for. If they tell them to do something they do it.

@@philmccracken8373 I don't know what is winning. Every time someone expresses themselves freely it is a statement and a win. It has always been a numbers game. The more people do it the more powerful we feel as a collective knowing we are not alone. The close to winning. Winning atthis point is being able to have food and shelter, been able to set and speak boundaries in a clear manner, and creating alternative ways to live.

Unfortunately they don't care to solve crimes they are hired thugs that if we're not doing this could simply be replaced by a traffic camera. In my city they turn a blind eye to so much crime its sad everything now is a mental health issue or a bylaw issue all they do is harass motorists. Waste of cash.

you do know that the GG of Canada can't actually call for a non-confidence vote, right? they're representative of the queen in a ceremonial capacity. Canada had an election 7 months ago, and liberals won (not by much, but they did; in almost identical numbers to the previous election) What makes you think that a ceremonial role would try to use non-existant power to vote against the majority of its citizens?

Just want to know why murderers and rapists have more rights than demonstrators. Reporters and the woke society are all over the news saying the police have to be defunded because of their treatment to said criminal, but when it comes to Canada the protestors are tried and judged by the press and governments before they even hit the road so to speak. The Truckers Convoy was declared legal by a judge after the fact but still they are being tarred and feathered. The bikers announced their intent, the strong arm of the law made it nearly impossible, but they bowed to powers that be. I have said it before and I will say it again no one should celebrate Canada Day in Ottawa ever again, they want the tax dollars and the tourist dollars but they do not want the Citizens of Canada.
