Rolling with Muscular Purple Belt Who was 30% Bodyfat Before BJJ

2 ай бұрынToday's video is going to be a rolling video of my Purple Belt, Dakota, and I rolling at a Costa Rica Jiu-Jitsu camp.
Dakota is a fun roll, super technical, and has a cool story. Before he started training BJJ he was 30% Bodyfat!
Of course, it was more than just BJJ that helped him get to where he is now, but it's always cool to see the progress people can make in a relatively short amount of time.
You'll see both of us look for passes, sweeps, and submissions. In general, it's a pretty fun flow level roll.

Hi man I have a big strugel 😢 in bjj i have been training for a wile so a year and the a new guy came in now he has about 4 month of experineced and i don't now way but he always beats me but i don't onderstant i work hard but can't beat him can you peas help me

I went through a similar situation. Everyone learns at a different pace. Some people have “natural jiu jitsu”. Meaning, they pick up or already know some escapes or submissions, or they just learn it faster and more efficiently. What I did is put my ego away and make it a habit to train with the guy who kept smashing me, commend him and help each other. It helped me immensely. It’s a marathon journey, not a race. Keep rolling and I hope you get past this.🤙🏽

There is a lot to unpack in that sub 5 minutes video. A lot of little details to tease out and observe and learn.
