I'm Romanian. The US would not agree to produce the Abrams in Romania. On top of that, Abrams is an old design, just like the Leopard 2. The wiring alone inside of Abrams is 1 ton in weight because it's not fiber optic cable. The K2 is simply better than the Abrams and the Leopard 2, but these things are not said publicly. Plus, the South Koreans will produce it in Romania.

@@couch_philosophy OFFICIAL NEWS recent was signed a deal , Romania will pay 1 Billion US Dollars , for 54 units of K9A2 Thunder 18 units must be delivered by the producer (South Korea) in 2 years and half after the signing of the deal (that means in early 2027) the rest of 36 units from this deal will be assembly in Romania, also 17.000 projectiles for K9 in Romania are included in this deal and must be delivered by S.K. to Romania
