Boy I'm so glad somebody else has a machine and scared of it. I'm so glad he's putting pictures. I've had my machine for about 9 months, and I've not done the first thing. I think about all the money I could have made, makes being feel stupid. I've got traumatic head injury, so I forget stuff before you know. But I've got a system that helps I'm so mad at myself for not already getting me and my machine ready so count me in for the book!

Always such good advice. I've had my machine for 7 months and have felt so guilty about not having it up and running yet, but you just made me feel better. Better to wrap your head around everything and fully understand and be proficient before accepting custom orders. You reminded me to have confidence to trust myself and my timeline. Love your videos! Thanks!

Buy a bobbin tension gauge Keep a scrap shirt hooped up on a larger frame, store it beside your machine, then run an “I” test on the needles that you will be using on your newly loaded design, prior to first sew out.

Starting out I wished I purchased my machine from a place that offered lessons on how to get started embroidering. There were no classes near but I could have traveled 2 hours to find some. I instead bought closer to home in case I needed repairs. The training turned out to be more important! People today are lucky that You Tube offers a multitude of videos on embroidering. Thank you and other educators for your educational videos. They are deeply appreciated.

Even with such helpful videos as Romero shares with us I still wish I could get a machine that comes with training. There is virtually no support for my machine. Internet is very scarce with info. Good thing it’s just a hobby for now.

When first starting your embroidery journey I would recommend that you do not try to be a perfectionist at the beginning. Forgive yourself for all the mistakes, errors etc. and do not get frustrated with the process of learning. Take notes, lots of notes and organize them in binder or some other way. Also as Romero mentioned, lots of folks will be asking you to do embroidering for them once they know you have a machine, go slow and do not overwhelm yourself trying to accommodate everyone. Thank you Romero for all your sage advice that helps us to keep our sanity in this crazy adventure of embroidering!

ALWAYS CHECK your garments are clear of the arm.. make sure only the surface you required to be embroidered is in contact with the needle plate... we have all done it at some point and stitched the back of a shirt whilst embroidering the front...😢

Great video! My rookie mistake was getting online and buying tons of designs I thought people would like. Sometimes I’d buy 5-6 from the same place without even checking to see if the first stitched out properly. I have so many and haven’t even stitched half of them. Probably never will to be honest.

Thank you for the comment. The quality of your stitches all depend on having the correct tension set by your upper knobs and your bobbin tension. hello please i need help I have a RICOMA 150 1PT embroidery machine since I turned it on about a year ago, the board was fine in English, I just don't know how to use it and I haven't turned it on again until now and my surprise is that it's in Chinese, I changed the language by myself, I was able to translate what it said and it says: Error number 15 Lost pattern. How can I do it in the English language and what does this error refer to? What do I have to do? can you please guide me

Hi, my friend. I noticed you are amazingly knowledgeable in the embroidery industry, I am a truck driver for Brown, and I used to be a PC technician, but due to crash in 2008 I was forced to learn something new, well here I am at Brown... good money, 6 figures but 70 hours 6 days a week, I always like this stuff and I am a fast learner and multi-task person. I am about to register my llc, and just mention to some friends and they already asked me about hats, I have friend that he has a school and he offers me to buy from me the uniforms for the school, I told everyone I need some time to start, learn and else. For that reason, I decided to go with a commercial machine like Tajima, zsk, and Baruma. I also did check also Ricoma, now my question is if you can please help me out with this doubt I have, and is why you choose Ricoma over the other machines? Any recommendation will be appreciated, I know I am going for a very expensive machine but in my case it is no problem and thanks GOD I can afford the payments even if I don't sell anything for the entire payment of the machine, thats why I am going this way also is going to push me more and I see as a motivational to learn faster and do a quality job. Thanks for your time and help I already subscribed for the very helpful information. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR COMPANY!!!
