Top-notch video as always! Sad that there will never be another recorded lesson from Ron, but as you mentioned his teachings are archived for us all to continue learning! Wow....I haven't been online at MarbleConnection for about year now and just learned today through correspondence with other members about Ron's passing. I just watched this and am still drying my eyes. When I joined MarbleConnection back in 2020, Ron was one of the first people along with Chad, Ric, Steph, and many others that welcomed me aboard. I'm so happy and absolutely honored to have had the many conversations with him regarding marbles, dishware, bottles, you name it. Absolutely priceless information that I will carry with me. You educated me with so many forms of identification regarding marbles and things glass in particular. Always appreciated, loved and honored and never too be forgotten. Thank you my friend. I was really hoping to see him again this weekend at Mineral Wells, last time I saw him and talked to him was at the Canton Marble show a couple of months ago. He knew everything. Definitely a tragic loss for the Marble Community.

Thank you for putting the time into this wonderful video. I have only been collecting for a year or so, but I've learned the most from you and your interviews with Ron. I have been watching your videos nightly since I discovered them. They are my research source and education. Ron Shepherd's contribution to the world of West Virginia Swirls and his fun and knowledgeable narrative about all marbles has been a great addition to the video archive. I, like many other collectors, were always excited to see him as the guest expert on your channel especially these last six or seven months. His expertise and easy manner will be sorely missed but stay the course and carry-on. I'm sure he would have wanted it that way.

I Never Knew that I LIKED MARBLES so Much until I Started Watching Your KZfaq Channel. I always LIKED marbles, but now I can Look for the Really CooL MARBLES, AND I CAN NOW LOVE MARBLES. I have only been watching your channel for 4 months, but I already "Remember" Ron Shepard, and I remember some of the Videos that I have seen him in. I will pay More Attention when I watch a Video with him in it. The WORLD puts certain People on this Planet, that are Special and Illuminate Secrets of this World that it would Take Lifetimes FOR OTHER PEOPLE to Know, but These People are Born Knowing it. To just be near someone like that is Amazing and take time to BE MORE LIKE THEM NOW THAT THEY ARE GONE. THEIR MEMORY IS BEST SERVED BY CHANNELING THEIR SOUL INTO YOUR BRAIN, AND BEING THEM. Even though I never met Ron he was my friend. For years on AAM (all about marbles) he helped me so much. A couple weeks before he passed I posted a marble on AAM for identification & it happened to be one that Ron needed for his Alley Salesman Sample Case. He said there were only two & Larry Alley the grandson had one. And Ron had the other one that L.E. Alley used. He was replacing the marbles that were missing before he got it he was down to like 20 and it started out he needed like 50. I called him VRon. I have not been back on the forum it's not the same. But I don't think Ron would want that so I'm going to start going back on there. Thank you Steven Bahr❤ 💕

Thanks Stephen, you did a great job with your tribute to Ron. I think of Ron every time I get a chance to sit down and go through my collection. If it were not for your videos i would not have ever had the chance to meet him in person. That was a gift you gave to a lot of us and i am thankful for that. I first met Ron at an Akro Agate convention, don't remember the year. I do remember that I learned right away that when Ron was sitting in the hotel lobby, I wanted to be there and listen to him talk marbles. I ran into him at various shows over the years, and if he was in the lobby when I walked into the hotel, I checked in, dumped my stuff and hurried back to the lobby. If he wasn't in the lobby I made sure I found out which room he was in, and made it my first room stop. A gentleman, an endless pool of marble knowledge, and always a pleasure to be around.

This was a heart warming video to remember him. Coming from his granddaughter and from his family I can't thank you enough for making this. It's something I'll hold on to forever. I cant even come with words for appreciation and the sadness over the loss of my papaw. Just thank you marble family for all the support. My mother and I enjoy knowing how much he meant. The stories and pictures are worth so much to us right now. Thank you.

I never met him personally but every video that he helped make made me feel as if I were sitting down with an old friend and the knowledge I gained was a prize to be treasured!

Stephen, I am just a Dutch beginner, have watched several videos from you, and think that they are wonderful!!! I love this videos with Ron, have watched them all already, and go through them again for sure, to learn. What a.lost, I just found out anout Ron😞 He was such a great personality, and you both were super together about the marbles, thank you for these great moments with and about him.

Hi Stephen, just wanted to say thank you for letting me know about the Marbles in the mountains in Tennessee. I was able to attend for all three days! I hade the opportunity to meet one of Ron’s friends David Aker. He’s in one of the pictures you showed in this video. I was told he was planning to attend this show. I’m saddened that I didn’t get a chance to meet him. But with talking to those that knew him it felt like he was there in spirit. I was able to find any and every marble I was looking for. The show was awesome!
