so much respect for Araujo, most the pro players you see in these challenges barely try and give minimal effort, but Araujo actually put some effort and was out of breath by the end of it which he didn't have to do. He shows respect to the players by giving them his effort.

As an offensive player who really liked to dribble I found this one on one training games against good defenders more difficult than dribbling in real game situations. Reason is probably that the defender can solely concentrate on your actions, no flurring activities around, no choice of passing instead of dribbling, etc, and if he is fast and has good positional skill it is hard to get past a defender. And in some situations it seemed to be easyier to dribble against two defenders, using open space between them and the fact that each of them is relying on the other one to react and close the space. This doesn't happen when the defenders knows he' s the only one in charge

I played semi-pro in my country and played against a ton of great defenders. In this situation I would typically feint once, maybe twice, move diagonally to either side and use my body strength to shield the ball as I shoot to find a corner. Ofcourse Araujo is one of the best in the world - but picking freestylers for this particular challenge makes it stupidly easy for him.

When I was in highschool there was a freestyler at my school people used to form crowds and watch him freestyle after class. Me and my friends a few of us we played at provincial level which was the highest before professional or semi professional. I remember he joined us for a 6 a side game half field and he couldn’t get a single touch on the ball. Very different playing real football against real defenders and playing futsal

Vvd got experience on top of being fast and strong and Thiago silva is the best at reading players before they even make a move. Just a great video to watch for any decent amateur forward who thinks they're as good as top level players. we're absolutely not, it's just the defenders we play against can't move properly. he turns so quickly its terrifying.

Very few professional players would be able to get past Araujo in this challenge. They wouldn't look as hopeless, but this is ideal situation for the defender -- no passing options and far away from goal for shooting without dribbling past him to not be possible either. And we know that almost nobody gets past him even in real games where the opponents do have those other options.

I’m 18 and I’ve been a Barca fan since it’s seems forever ago back in the MSN era and that champions league comeback against PSG. So I’ve known about and admired Araujo since he burst onto the first team scene. Watching him grow as an elite young defender it has been a joy to see his dedication and love for the club. Araujo is probably gonna be the best defender in 3-4 years and maybe even surpass Van Dijk if he wins a champions league without major injuries I just love how aggressive he is, and how menacing he is just watching him beating some of the world's best players in almost every 1v1 just gets me hyped.

Love seeing a pro defender demonstrating how to defend 1v1.. Being very good in freestyle is totally very very different when comes to playing on a 11-a-side pitch.. Pro defender doesn't commit that easily and love seeing how Araujo is always ready to accelerate, never keep his body flat facing the opponent and once the defender tries to beat him, off he goes full force with his body to knock the opponent off balance.. Totally love it.. I myself play as a defender and still trying to learn about the right timing. But it is really too bad.. I would love to see a 2v1 against Araujo because an attacker having an option to pass needs a different strategy to defend. Hope there will be a chance to watch this..

I played semi-pro in my country and played against a ton of great defenders. In this situation I would typically feint once, maybe twice, move diagonally to either side and use my body strength to shield the ball as I shoot to find a corner. Ofcourse Araujo is one of the best in the world - but picking freestylers for this particular challenge makes it stupidly easy for him.
