In 1983 President Reagan apologised to the British prime minister after the US invaded Grenada - a Commonwealth country - without giving her advance warning. This newly released tape recording of a private telephone call between them reveals the conversation.

Alright, but this editing makes it look like it's a shitpost.

She sounded like a mildly angry mother with her teenage son. "Now Ron there's still a lot of work to do" followed by "I must be off now to my debate"

If you look at it in a colonial manner, it's like America was calling his mom

This video is really hilarious to me. The editing is as dramatic as an Indian television drama.

I love how she scolded him in a passive way and was polite at the end there.

I like how Regan is like “sorry we invaded your friend.” And she’s just like “yeah now you get to do the work for us”

My dad was 5 years old and vividly remembers living in Puerto Rico and going to the military base at the time and seeing all the soldiers leaving for Grenada.

Not a Reagan fan but I appreciate the courtesy he showed to Thatcher. I hope this type of leadership and courtesy is restored among national leaders and statesmen.
