It was a pity he had to have all those injuries and plus he had thyroid problems which made him gain more weight. I was born in 1992, I'm lucky to see him play during his prime!

Probably the best striker of all time. If he had a longer and more protected prime, definitely on the level of Pele and Maradona. Maybe even higher. He was a mix of incredible physical strength yet sprints at a phenomenal speed. Through all of that, he was smart and skillful enough to dance through like 9 defenders. I miss you R9, Ronaldo Nazario, The Phenomenon. He was a legit cheat code. We will never forget the 2002 Brazil team.

Only thing Ronaldo has better than Messi is 2 world cup but his Brazil team was one of the greatest of all time. He was great but just forgot everything else and watch them side by side. Messi has better dribbling, better passing, vision and of course better eye for goals. Ronaldo is great but he is not same level as Messi but obviously he is better than Penaldo. The class is better.

In short: a monster. I had the pleasure of watching him a few times at the stadium. He was a hurricane playing. The most important defenders in the world were trembling in fear of him. Even the legendary Maldini said that Ronaldo was the only striker who made him angry.

He was the face of Brazilian football during one of its best eras, and he had 2 career ending injuries and came back from both to score 2 goals against one of the most legendary keepers of all time, German Oliver Khan, in the WC final. Brazil ended up winning the final 2-0

Won’t help him a lot, he suffered from a chronic condition called hypothyroidism (easily gains weight), and due to the quick rate of his growth, the tendons on his knees were “rupture-prone”. If his body didn’t have such problems, even without having to train like Cristiano, he would have at least gotten 3 UCL’s, 1 more world cup, 5 more Ballon d’Ors, 5 more golden shoes.

Back when football was played for real, no soft contacts given as fouls or cheap dives given as penalties. The sport was much more masculine, and R9 dominated it. Comparing this guy to that other Ronaldo is kinda meaningless, idk how can people think of it but w/e, who am I to judge. R9 a machine, but his joyful lifestyle, and his injuries, which were partly maybe due to lack of fitness, contributed to him not being on the top for longer than he was. The best footballer ever in my eyes regardless. People talk of young talents today, this guy won the world's best player at 19. Talk about levels hahaha

At the peak of his powers and health, he was the greatest striker ever. Better than Pele, Messi, Maradonna ... better than . There are players who accomplished more, or could be argued were better over their entire careers. I liken his story to Tiger Woods. Tiger at his peak was the best we've ever seen. Jack Nicklaus is the greatest ever, but Tiger's PEAK was higher. Ronaldo is at the pinnacle.

best forward ever. had every skill at a very high level. injuries cut his career short but still the best.

at least in the last 40+ years there hasn't been anyone with the combination of speed, strength, dribbling skills, finishing, striking power and accuracy. still the best all-around striker I've ever seen.

Il numero 9 più completo e forte della storia del calcio quando era in forma. probabilmente senza infortuni potrebbe essere stato il più forte della storia...e c'è chi pensa che l'unico ronaldo sia cr7....mai visto un giocatore grasso come lui e distrutto dagli infortuni riuscire ancora a giocare come lui a fine carriera
