The Messi-Ronaldo rivalry, or Ronaldo-Messi rivalry, is a sporting rivalry in football propelled by the media and fans that involves Argentine footballer Lionel Messi and Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, mainly for being contemporaries and due to their similar records and sporting successes. They spent nine seasons in the prime of their careers facing off regularly while playing for rival clubs Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Together they have achieved various historical milestones in the sport, coming to be considered as two of the best players of all time. They are two of the most decorated footballers ever, having won a combined 79 official trophies (Messi 44, Ronaldo 35) during their senior careers thus far, and have regularly broken the 50-goal barrier in a single season. They are the only two players to score over 800 goals each in their careers for club and country.
As they move towards their tail end of the career, both are still creating their own legacies. While Messi is lighting up the MLS like never before, Ronaldo is bringing popularity to the Saudi League. However one of them seems salty over the other's success and is trying hard to stay relevant. In this video we explore Ronaldo's last ditch efforts to keep the title of 'The Greatest Football Player Ever'.

With all the respect you deserve, you're clearly a Messi fan. Ronaldo always said that in his mind he is the best. But if you think different is ok, he respect that. And because of that mentality is why he is one of the greatest players of all time, and everytime they asked him about Messi he say good things about him, he respect Messi. You said a lot of things, like when Messi got the golden ball of 2014 wc (which he obviously didn't deserve) because he only scored 4 goals and assist once, James scored 6 goals with Colombia and Cuadrado assisted 4 times. Because it was obvious he didn't deserve the golden ball, they asked his rival ''Ronaldo'' about it, and saying that phrase he decided to not answer. And you forgot to mention when Ronaldo won the Euro and Messi lost the Copa America final by missing his penalty and wanted to leave the national team and Ronaldo commented to stay because he is a great player. And about the post that Ronaldo laugh at were because of the 2023 Fifa the Best and the Iffhs ratings, one was about ballon d'or. And how are gonna critize Ronaldo when someone who scored 28 goals and won a Leagues Cup, won the Fifa The Best and got to be 3rd in ranking iffhs. When he scored 54 goals in a calendar at 38. Everyone would've laugh at his postion. Because both Messi and Cristiano are not suppose to be in rankings right now, but if Messi is in rankings, and Ronaldo did way better and is not even the list would make this a joke, so after all. Yes, that rankings and trophies are losing credibility. And when they were yelling ''Messi'' he answer like that to them, not to Messi. He was laughing and doing that stuff to them. Another thing to add, half of the planet think Ronaldo is better. The other half think Messi is better. This debate will never be over bro, but they both respect each other. And i know you know that. Just respect both of the goats and don't make videos throwing misinformation, because some people are going to believe this sh*t.
