It's crazy to me that Doe overthrow a government to save the country only to become a dictator then Charles Taylor overthrow the government to save the country only to become a dictator. Doe is dead and Taylor is in prison ,but somehow Prince Johnson is still out there in Liberia

@@capoislamort100 , no...i was never a fan of Rondald Reagan. I am a libertarian so i don't like anyone who is against freedom . i was saying that if the shooting (executions) was on the news then Reagan (or any other president) would be concerned about their reputation and would not have done a public meeting with him. Image is everything with any politician. The horrible shooting took place in the 1980 coup which you can see on KZfaq but i wouldn't recommend it to sensitive people. I originally saw the executions from an old documentary called "Faces of death"

I grew up there. Wasn't President Talbot assassinated when Samuel Doe, who served as a Corporal in the Liberian Army, took office after the overthrow. Do you remember the Small Small Man and the Sticky Devil? And crazy Hans flying around Buchanan. Reminds me of the helicopter pilot Murdoch off the A Team. L.o.l I remember the curfews well and also the Armed Liberian soldiers (tanked up on cane juice), who were looking for house 516 in loop 5 and the young boys who were playing on the old Ford Zephyr. L.o.l They wanted 10,000 Liberian dollars, but they settled for 1000. L.o.l Need to get my white @$$ back to Liberia and find me a beautiful Liberian wife. Should have done it years ago. Wish I never left Africa as a boy. It's one of the most beautiful, nature vibrant, places on Earth. P.s As a young kid, I will never forget the first time I saw Sister Nancy's Paw Paws. L.o.l

it's weird how we as Americans like and support Presidents but not usually in a unhealthy way. But people in other countries under direct tyrant rule praise men who were awful. Like even how obsessed the English people are with the Crown but here in America we wouldn't give our lives for a person of power or extremely mourn if an old President died. It would just happen and we would move on. Other cultures are so different that it is sometimes hard to comprehend the differences.

I’m a Liberian and your statement is true . I’ve lived in the United States for many many years . Married to an African American and all I can say is you can not change anyone neither can you encourage anyone to do better . A person must be hungry for better in order to consistently do better in order to become better When I observed our race /our people and over here I just sit quietly in my corner saying to myself you never realize appreciate value nor respect what you have until you loose it It takes God/HolySpirit to TRANSFORM a person HEART in order for this TRANSFORMED individual to see understand and discerned that all men are CREATED EQUAL AMERICO LIBERIANS did to their own race when their past did to them How do they move forward by admitting they all were wrong and owes it to Liberia to unite despite their differences realizing all men are created equal and do better for the lives of the people May AlmightyGod help them . Only the hand of the True and Living God can restore that Nation. The Nation must FIRST have a READY MIND and a WILLING HEART to WANT to CHANGE then change will happen other than that hmmmmmm .
