Thought about putting few drops of barricade concentrate in my hose end sprayer each time I spray fert this year. My new mad scientist strategy for 2024.

It's probably unnecessary. If you applied your spring pre-emergent, shouldn't need to apply it every time you spray fertilizer.

@@RonHenry I always wondered about pre-emergents hurting the ability of my KBG from self repairing. If it stunts rhizomes or root health at all.

Hello Ron. Is it safe to mow dormant grass only cause Rye grass is growing in between the dormant centipede? The dormant sod was laid 2 months ago not by me. It was poorly laid by developers and the seam is allowing the Rye to grow between it in dormant centipede. Ok only want to mow high RYE in dormant centipede.

Not going to hurt anything to mow dormant grass.

@@RonHenry thanks Ron. I will make sure to mow high to not disturb dormant sod that is taking Root as we speak.Seam of sod still visible in some areas.

Hey Ron. How would you water a new zenith zoysia sod. Everyday for 2 weeks 3 times a day? That’s what I did. how much water after 1st 2 weeks? I am doing twice every 3 times a day? MWF 30 mins each zone.

Hard to say worries Eric. Twice per day should be sufficient. You don't want to overdo it as it can create conditions for disease to take hold.

Sorry I didn’t mean after the 1st 2 weeks to go twice 3 times a day but only once every day for approx 2 more weeks. Then after a month past watering to drop it to once every other day

@@RonHenry Thanks for the response Ron as I have been considering purchasing a used/rebuilt one once my yard is ready but the parts availability along with the fact that I can only mow in 1 direction on parts of my yard are a big concern of mine. (Steep incline and width of the area will not allow me to go from side to side so I can only mow up and down.)
