damn I'm a 17 year old boy from the netherlands, This is the voice I grew up with. And now almost 7 years later I'm listening to the dubliners again. Regretting I never saw this legend alive. :(

Saw him perform in Schull in the mid nineties at the Courtyard. Amazing charactor and one of the most unique voices I've had the pleasure to hear!

All I can say that I knew Ronnie in '63 and '64 in O'Donoughue's Pub on Merrion Row. He was always nice and kind to me as was his wife Deirdre, May God rest both of them. They are ever in my prayers.

I finally read all the verses outside my dad’s care home with him and my little sister last summer…… Jesus. No wonder Ronnie was only allowed to sing five in public.
