I rode a race modified CR500 once. ONCE! And believe me, I like going fast. But one trip around the field with it and I gave it back. It’s insane to ride.

I couldnt believe it when I saw you are really at PaxTrax. My dad and I rode this track 10x more than any other. He ended up breaking his back (T11-T12) after flying forward over the handle bars on that first table top in the back. (when you become visible to the stands). I loved that place more than any other yrack

My buddy's got a KX 500 .....scary 2 stroke right there ....wow ...just wow......I lean that bisssh upside a wall to support it to kick it over...lotta bike

Had 2 CR 500 beasts. On mine you layed em over to get the gas flowin. Choke it. Apply NO gas and get close to dead center. Second kick and they would start every time. They were working hard to get it dead center and you gotta kick that thing and pray it didn't kick back. If you stalled it during a race, forget about starting in gear...wasn't going to happen. Put in neutral, top center and kick with no gas. They were a blast to ride.

A salesman at Lake City Honda in Warsaw, IN used to race 500 in hare scrambles.

Man... starts great! Doh! No matter how perfect something is.. once the camera is on all bets are off.
