I have followed MONTROSE since 1973. He was the guitarist for Edgar Winter. Free Ride and Frankenstein got me hooked on him.

I've listened to Ronnie since his days with Sammy. They rocked then -- they will rock forever! Ronnie's brilliant version of Town Without Pity is my favorite. I can envision Ronnie standing on a billowy white cloud playing some bruising blues riffs and soaring high notes to Town Without Pity (with angels as his orchestra). Rory Gallagher RIP. Gary Moore RIP. Cozy Powell RIP. Ronnie Montrose RIP.

Musicians, not just guitarists, knew it was Ronnie. Like Stevie Ray, he had this thing.

I'm still holding out for a cure for cancer. I survived it. My eternally-beloved wife, Barbra, didn't. She was only forty-three years-old when she died from cancer on Nov. 22, 2010. Ronnie M. still had a lot to give us. I love them both! So does The Christ! Ronnie -- I know you'll play your absolute best for The King of The Universe. Heaven keep you forever, Ronnie Montrose! RIP

Saw Montrose in late 2010 in Livermore. Same lead singer but new/different bass player and drummer. Tight band. Good to see Ronnie still rockin'.
