i mostly hate chick rockstars chick rockers just usually fall short talent wise so, i generally don't bother the EXCEPTION to my rule is allison robertson who i think is a fantastic rock guitarist maybe even THE BEST rock guitarist of the last 15 years or so and i'm including all the "shredders" male and female. and there are a fair number of female shredders who do it about as well as any of the guys but most of the shredders don't get to me emotionally, the very best do. eddie ,yngwie, morse but most of them........na.......dull allison isn't a shredder, she's a feel player like ace or angus and she can make me feel it.....so.......she wins

Had the exact same guitar and year. Waited 6 weeks for it to be made. Traded it after about 6 or 8 years. Don't regret trading it, just regret what I traded it for. It does take a 9 volt battery for the pre-amp. I found the 6 way vari-tone switch really had only 2 positions that I liked. Loved the coil splitter and especially liked the DiMarzios--PAF and Super Distortion. I really liked the clean sound as well but the only amp that I had at the time was a Legend Rock n' Roll 50 2X12. Probably why I got tired of the sound and traded both. The BadAss bridge was easy to intonate but a pain when you changed strings all at once. Beautiful workmanship other than it needed shielding in the cavity and had some polishing compound left in there. Phase switch gave it a great 'honk' that I found very useful as well.

1:39 'active' electronics... Does it maybe have any 'battery' inside its own guts?
@psycoticreaction91354 жыл бұрын
Yes. It has one single 9V battery located inside the back cover.
@blop17384 жыл бұрын
@@psycoticreaction9135 thanks a bunch. Is that battery just inside your axe only, or did every vintage Mockingbirds have active electronics?
@jacobvitthuhn17463 жыл бұрын
It's a boost circuit. The 9 volt powers it and with an amp that's a bit dirty, kick this in and it pushes the amp much like a built in boost pedal. Gnarly!

I have the Fernandez version of this which is basically a clone, including neck thru, same pickups, wood, etc. Yes, it needs a 9 volt for the built in preamp. This guitar deserves a better amp for a demo ;)

Really hard to believe that there was upwards of 400 megatons of nuclear war heads stored at this site. There were a total of 12 Nike Hercules missiles in underground storage facilities, and each of the Hercs could either be outfitted with a 5, 20 or 40 megaton warhead dependent on the assigned intercept mission. There was also a 25% overage of assigned warheads kept there. The missiles had a maximum range of 65 miles. Worth a visit if you have not been there, not much left but there is a small historical plaque at the hilltop where the command and control facilities were located. Today, that area is where the only remaining concrete facilities are still standing. Today two antennae towers stand there. The actual missiles were on the adjacent hill top and only a few broken pieces of concrete remain. The site went non-operational in 1971 but the facilities were not demolished until 2000. Jim Busbin, Brea.

We used to go up in that area, ride motorcycles, drink beer, smoke dope, get a little, and get chased out on a regular basis. I went to the OLD Brea High School 1965-1969 before it was torn down. There was a good view of the Disneyland fireworks.

@rssnowblind0 Yes it has a CD/Aux In, and a Record out. Just like you had on the 9002. About the only difference between these Two Products are there sizes, and the fact that the 7010 has a built-in Speaker. The Effects however are identical. And in some cases just down what WTF?!

Using a pick for bass guitars make it louder... specially when the other guitars got their distortions and overdrives on... if it's in that case, either you pick, or you slap... also, you can play more rapidly with a pick rather than with your fingers... Duff Mckagan uses picks... so does Flea... Mike from Green Day does too... even I do...
@roman140326 жыл бұрын
hey, entwistle sometimes played with a pick. and as far as i'm concerned entwistle ends any bass argument definitively
