On stream Ronnie said this song was mainly about hypocondria. Like your head hurts but google says you have cancer so the voices are always telling you that something is wrong with you but you actually just have a headache or something minor. @@bleachboys3623 yeah I agree. I still have a lot of respect for him due to his outstanding musicianship, but he just seems super insecure, like he has something to prove. He seems to always claim that he’s on top of the world, but he responds very poorly to criticism and refuses to take responsibility for his actions for the most part. And his weird conservative viewpoints back that up. I still can’t believe that he’d invalidate non-binary people, as lgbtq+ people are a huge part of this scene. The song has literally nothing to do with MGK. Even the part where a whole bunch of people are trying to say he's dressed as MGK, that's literally just his old pre popular monster, singles era style. as an ex addict with bad anxiety Ronnie’s music and lyrics are incredibly cathartic to me. I have to fight obnoxious catastrophic thoughts every day just to feel like I’m not some incompetent and unlovable failure. Your video about his life is actually a big part of what made me start taking him seriously & realizing what a true genius he is. And yes, I definitely admire his ability to reinvent himself so many times. Most people would have taken the prison sentence as an excuse to self destruct & give up on their dreams, but he did quite the opposite. Seeing as I just pre-ordered his book I guess you could say I'm definitely a fan now. Thanks for being part of why I can say that. Also, this song is freaking amazing. This song sounds exactly the same as Zombified. Its alright but the structure is legit the same song.
@marginalhero47832 жыл бұрын
you can say that about just any song that is within the same genre though. Bands don't reinvent after every single song. I read your comment as a criticism but it just doesn't make sense as a criticism, rather it just points out that songs within a genre sound similar. I suspect your "exactly" is hyperbole since if it was exactly the same, it would literally be the same song. If you are a punk fan, you must know that bands have been making similar sounding songs since punk started. Metal, country, hip hop, a;; do it. Even bands like Tool reuse song structures (such as Right in Two and Pushit)
@RCmetal112 жыл бұрын
@@marginalhero4783 its not that they didnt "reinvent", its that this song is essentially a copy/paste of Zombified in a different key. An example: Popular monster and Zombified have very similar structures, but they are also very distinct from one another. This song and zombified are carbon copies. Even the breakdown is the same "angry build up --> djent breakdown --> angry callout --> lower djent breakdown". I actually quite like a lot of what FIR does but this song feels lazy.

So I only just started listening to fir. I am not an expert on anything in this regard. But I don't think this is as plain and simple as he's a bad guy and a villain. His videos speak to me as saying that he has demons in his mind and battles them every day. The scary part is those demons are actually him and he's fighting himself all the time. Sometimes winning but then being beaten by himself. Very relatable to me.

I have so much respect for RR. I can't say I like every song he's ever done, but you can tell whatever it is he COMMITS to the idea 100% and throws himself in head first. You might not like a particular song or video, but you HAVE to respect the sincerity. Kamikaze was the Eminem album that contained the song KIllshot (okay, it came out as a single first - but it was on that album). If he can get Em on a record I will absolutely lose it. I could hear FIR covering Eminem's "Fall" WITH Em on the track... "I got no faith in your writers/I don't believe in ghosts" Question: I see the concept of the video being he is still in prison, and in his mind he's dreaming of escaping to this future where he slays his demons. But is his sitting prison look a reference to Avatar: The Last Airbender?
