One of my instructors from trade school shook like a leaf, had a hint of Parkinson disease from years of galvanize welding. He always bent his electrodes I never asked why but I had wondered why. Even saw several classmate do the same thing. Now I know why, almost 15 years later 😅. I keep vise grips near me for welding, mobile positioning post=comfortable.

It’s all about being comfortable! If you ain’t comfortable the weld knows it. Just like a horse knows your nervous 😉

valuable advice! i had to figure this out completely on my own because all the videos out there are about the most obvious things on earth! i usually hold the stick even after i start it. you should see my gloves lol

Slam the rod at the bottom of the stinger towards the fulcrum point always helped me.

Tied as my favorite weld tuber. You can just tell when a welder decides to shoot videos on the side compared to dudes who weld for yt. Good shit buddy, your knowledge will train more of the future workforce than you know. Im you tube and weld article taught aside from just having my hood down and its insane the lack of knowledgeable older dude welders. Most just bs and pass on their good enough mentality.

As a almost 60 year old welder my son who is also a welder jokes how I shake so much now days. I tell him I may shake but I can still out weld you but I can see the day coming that I will be his helper.

If you right-handed just hold that rod with your left hand until it burns about halfway and it won't shake on you at all.. if it gets too hot let it Go
