My Roomba setup is not working, I already tried a bunch of things but it crashes on the last steps, the Wi-Fi light turns red and I’m not able to find the Roomba Network that I’m supposed to connect on my Phone. I need help

- If you have “5G Wi-Fi network” don’t use it, make sure you’re using the 2.4Gz one
- Download an old IRobot app version (4.3.1): m.apkpure.com/...
- Allow the IRobot App to access your location “Always”
- Make sure your router is on IPV4, not IPV6. Using IPV6 may cause this issue
Apparently, these 4 steps solved many people problems, but not for me =[

O Setup do meu Roomba não está funcionando, eu já tentei um monte de coisas mas ele quebra nos últimos passos do setup, a luz de Wifi do Roomba fica vermelha no meio do processo e eu não consigo achar a rede de Wifi do Roomba que eu deveria conectar no celular para continuar o processo. eu preciso de ajuda.

- Se o seu Wi-Fi tem a rede 5G, não use ela, use a rede 2.4Gz
- Fazer download the uma versão antiga do app do IRobot: m.apkpure.com/...
- Mudar a permissão pro App do IRobot para "Sempre"
- Verifique se o seu roteador está configurado para IPV4, não IPV6. Usar IPV6 pode causar esse problema
Aparentemente esses 4 steps resolveram pra muitas pessoas, mas não pra mim =(

I have a new router I just purchased in 2022 for $190- it’s supposed to be a high end/fast router which apparently meant it supports 2.4 and 5.0 GHZ- I had to open the app for my router and enable a function called “enable single SSID for 2.4G/5G bands” and then setup proceeded flawlessly for me. Before tweaking those router settings it would say connected to wifi but then act like my password was wrong and give me a list of stuff to check including seeing if my router was running 2.4G.

Press and hold all 3 buttons. Home+Clean+target when you see all the lights blink red then release. try connect again. 2.4Ghz wifi dont forget.

Tried that also, unfortunately it didn’t work. Thanks for your comment, it may help other people in the future, I just bought a new Roomba (I7) and I’m happier now. =D

Try resetting it? Or ask on r/roomba on Reddit it would be better cuz there is a loft of people there who have room as so they might know

I was not able to find a fix, I tried all possible things, it probably was hardware related, I decided to buy a new one. You can try the possibilities I posted on the video description, at least one of them works for almost 90% of people that are facing this problem.

Make sure Your ruter set to IPv4. Mine was IPv6 and i was having same issiu and i needed to call internet provider and they switch it to IPv4.

Thank you for the suggestion, just confirmed our router is already on IPv4 =/ But I'll add your case to the video description, it may help other people in the future.

@@ricardopereira5397 I asked the internet provider to change to IPv4 from IPv6 then reboot the robot to factory setting by pressing 3 buttons and it could connect. I tried to connect to WiFi IPv6 first but it did not work. Then I tried it on IPv4 without rebooting the robot and it did not work. Then I rebooted the robot and tried on IPv4 again, it worked finally. I am on Software ver 6.4.0. Also set the location access to Always. Hope this helps as I can feel the same pain.

There is a way for iOS system user and it works . I use an older iPad(mine is iPad2 or iPhone 6 )that can only download older iRobot home version. It works for my roomba 960 .

My case got solved, I have contacted the iRobot Support and this is what they recommended me to do (I have an iOS): - Get the robot off it’s charging base - In case if the lights are on, press the Clean button for a couple of seconds until they turn off - Press and hold Clean button for 15 seconds until it resets - Restart both your router and your phone Please make sure that your router is compatible with iRobot too. Worked wonders when I lost all hope. I must add that I have tried absolutely everything: reprogramming the router to IVp4, adding a 2.4GHz line, trying on an Android, downloading the old version of iRobot app on an Android, trying on an old iPad, restarting everything and starting over, trying to “debug” all the possible bugs. None of that worked and the only thing that helped was the instruction above. Also, it didn’t work instantly, I had to reconnect twice without a need to restart anything. Now my roomba is up and running. Hope it helps.

So I actually had the same exact problem and couldn't figure it out at all and I did what you said I reset the router reset the vacuum and reset my phone and it worked perfectly
