Today I watch and react to Dimash Kudaibergen who might just be the singer with the biggest vocal range EVER. Going from F2 to the incredibly high note D8 his amazing voice spans over 5 octaves. Technically there's no denying he has incredible talent. But does it sounds good?

Realized in hindsight that the clip when Simon Cowell and the judges looked bored is most likely not a real clip from a talent show, but a fan made edit. I don't think Dimash was ever on that show lmaoo

He definitely seems very interested in showing his range. You dont sustain C6s, D6s and Eb6s in one song and then do 6th octave head voice in every performance if that isn't at least part of what you want to show. He made the musically insensitive choice of sustaining a D8 just because he can..

This is not a healthy way to think about it. 'Talent' is subjective, some of it is genetic, some of it is based on hard work using time that not everybody else has. Instead of thinking of yourself as untalented for not having skills that someone else does, concentrate on just being happy with your own skill and your own pace of improvement. :)

Then there are turkic tribes. All kazakh khans(rulers) are descendants of Juchi-khan- second son of Gengis-khan. Then there is Altyn orda and a bunch of things happened(very complicated im telling ya) Then in 1465 were established Kazakh Khanate Only in 19th century Kazakh Khanate became part of Russian Empire In 1992 Kazakhstan gained independence I am from Kazakhstan and in school we study history lessons, i telled you twice but i am gonna tell you again- our history is very deep and complicated, a lot of things happened And russians came here only in 19th century Don't mess things up adding them.

That's literally how it was according to his voice teacher. His voice lowered with puberty, but he never lost his high range lol But to be fair, he always had a big range. His voice further lowered, but he has always had a big lower extension too. I've listened to a lot of his old stuff. In a song of his later teenage years he aready hit an E2. He hit A2s in his early teenage years. And he hit a C3 in a video of him as a freaking kid. So his range has always been big.

The thing about dimash is he never wanted to “prove” himself to anyone else, he never wanted to show that he is better than anyone or if he can sing like a female even if he can. He does whatever he likes to with his voice, he sings whichever technique, in whatever range, and however way he wants, be it rock/ opera/ pop. He doesnt care about title, money or fame. He quit the World’s Best show when he was so close to winning One Million dollar, just because the business show isnt in parallel with the virtues he uphold. He is one in a billion, a league on his own. His only rival is himself, he gets better and better by surpassing his own limit, every single time.

You're right. 😊 He's not trying to imitate a female sound. One of the differences between Marcelito and him: no range switches (he usually pretty much stays in the tenor range) but tonal switches (between "male" and "female") Dimash: no tonal switches but range switches (he can go more tha half an octave lower than the lowest notes of the bass range and more thab 2 octaves higher than the highest notes of the soprano range)

I always recommend Diana Ankudinova to people who've watched Dimash, because they're on opposite ends of the spectrum, and so interesting for singers to study. They're very well trained. While Dimash says he wants to create beauty with his voice, Diana says she studies the meaning and sings from within. Check out Wicked Game, Derniere Danse, and Rechenka.

I'd argue with that rock part as well. I just don't think Dimash has the rock vibe and by his arragements I can tell he rather fully shines in slower, more operatic and wide in range songs. Freddie could sing rock and opera, he had both agressive, soft and full voice. I get it that he didn't hit D8 or anything, he had 'just' 4 octaves but we all are more and less suited for certain generes. Not that I don't appreciate Dimash but I prefer listening to deep, crispy and low voices and I don't particualrly like when someone is so obviously throwing me high notes in the face like saying 'look how high I can go'. For me it's all about how everything about the song blends together.

There are only 3 known singers that can produce vocals within 6 octaves. Dimash, Adam Lopez, and Mike Patton. He was releasing early versions of some of his greatest hits in high school and can make pretty much the most diverse voices and sounds imaginable.

Not at all, he expresses my feelings on Dimash perfectly. Like, I can hear him hit high notes, and there is no denying he has an incredible range and talent, but I just don't feel it, and I can't really share in the hype that surrounds him. He is not a singer I would listen to on my own, because how high the person can go isn't the most important thing, it's about whether or not they are able to make me feel what they are singing. So while those I listen to might not get quite so high I still prefer their singing to Dimash.

Those high notes he hits are so hard to do, opening your chest to get that ring is exceptionally difficult and takes a ton of breath. His control is beautiful.

Dimash is the goodest egg. He's a really kind human and his voice is exactly what I'd imagine angels sound like. I need him to come to the States on tour again dammit i also.... wouldnt say he's a weird singer. He's definitely more of a classically trained singer, but that's not weird. it's just a different style.

Knittakes2 those aren’t whistle notes he inhales his whistle notes so it’s not in his range and it can damage his voice. For example Mariah Carey Minnie riperton Ariana grande exhale their whistle notes and it’s the proper way and it is in their range
