Good morning! 🌄 Every day is a good day to praise the Lord. God bless you and your family. My beautiful aloe plant became mush during this last freeze. I'm heartbroken, but hoping it will come back.

If you have a willow tree, make an infusion of the leaves. I've heard that works really well as a growth hormone. I don't so i haven't tested it myself.

We live in deep East Texas. We tried our first garden last year with success in tomatoes. Our cucumbers grew but were really bitter. Could you give us and idea of what would be good to plant in our area this spring? I think you must be close to us in the area. Learning lots from you, thanks for this channel. Our garden is about 10x20

Hello. Glad you had success with those tomatoes. We have done a bunch of videos on planting for the spring and fall in our area. Here is one....kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j7aUicmH1t-WhJc.html Hope that helps.

When is the best time to take your clippings? Sadly I missed the first frost which is what I was told is the best time.

Now is fine as long as there is some life in them. Take one or two trunks and cut them down to the ground. They should still be green.

Hi Eric did you do a video on garden hoops and covers? Seriously thinking of doing this in my raised beds. Did you buy from a garden supply company or amazon.

I actually have some on the way and will be doing a video on that topic soon. I am getting the from the same company that I got my greenhouse.

@@CountryLivingExperience Thanks so much!!! Can't wait till that video comes out. Think I will stick with a garden supply company too, sometimes amazon products are not that well made. I have learned so much from you thank you.

Just a question- putting the cover on the top for tote won’t cause problems for root growth? You don’t need to create puncture holes or anything ?
@CountryLivingExperience
@CountryLivingExperience Жыл бұрын
No. You just have to monitor for any mold growth. That’s why I mentioned putting the top halfway on. You just have to monitor it.

That's not how I have rooted my fig cuttings. I find that they are among the easiest to propagate here in central Texas. I have rather high success with my method. I scrape off the cambium layer a the bottom of the 6-8" cutting. The cut should be within 1/2" of a node. I dip the end in rooting hormone, then I plant it in a container filled with potting soil. I leave the cutting in the shade until it sprouts leaves. I do not need to cover my cuttings to increase the humidity because it's already humid here in Texas. My biggest problem with keeping the young plants alive is the freeze during the winter. I wish that I had a greenhouse!

I watched Texas Boys alittle bit, but they came off to me as sensationalists and opportunists, so I stopped watching them. Too bad. They chased me off and maybe they had something good to contribute, I don't know. Way too many commercials, indicating a money grab, to me. And their videos are disingenuous in so many ways. I enjoy your channel and teachings. Thanks for your time and have a great day.

Not sure what you mean by "way to many commercials" or "money grab". Not everyone enjoys their style and that is ok. I have met the dad and he seems genuine. Not all channels appeal to everyone. Cheers.
