I think just not enough people have heard him. If you listen to enough of his live playing, a range of his songs in different styles, it becomes evident he is one of the great guitar virtuosos.

@@jimmycampbell78 well Slash cites Rory Gallagher as an influencer, but yeah he was only really well known in UK and Republic of Ireland but Jimi Hendrix often mentioned Rory in interviews so you know he was good.

***** Hello there Aparecida! Well, my sister and I were planning on going to the "Rory Gallagher Fest" in Ballyshannon, Ireland this year, but cannot make it, so the plan is for next year. That is definitely on my "bucket" list! I will have to have my own festival this summer at my house, in June....
