There’s always been pundits like that on Talk Sport and independent KZfaqrs I think are more honest. The pundits who don’t go into good football analysis and also try to be professional are boring. That’s why more people watch people on KZfaq now cause they don’t have to answer to a boss they’re employed by, you can believe they’re being more themselves. Pundits on Sky Sports, BBC you feel like have to hold back.

Why would you compare Graham Potter with Ange Postecoglou, Chelsea were 11th after 31 games and were significantly worse than the team that finished 3rd the year before, Tottenham are currently 5th and last season to they finished 8th and lost Harry Kane.

Nae probably overpeformed tbh, after losing their best player of nearly a decade and being terrible the year before I was expecting 8th again at best. Back to playing good football after a few years of being hard to watch, unfortunately the squad ain't that deep so tiredness kicks in at this stage of the season.

The fact that Spurs could afford to lose 4 in a row and still be ahead of Chelsea, Man Utd and Newcastle with points spare shows how well Ange has done. Sure, it has all gone wrong in those games but some perspective of the season as a whole would be nice. Ange's first ever season in a top league remember, he's learning as much as anyone..

You know clubs like Melbourne Hellas have their own history and were importante to Greek migrants coming to Australia. But it makes sense you would mock them. Ange is one of Australia’s best sporting coaches in any sport. You realise that’s who you are making fun of right? Most Australians would regard him that way. This is his CV- 4 x Australian League Titles- this includes having the longest winning streak for a club sporting team in Australia (in any sport). 1 x Asian Cup (he was the first Australian coach ever to win this) 1 x J League Title (was the first ever coach to win for Yokohama f Marinos) 1 x Scottish Treble (won 5/6 titles while in Scotland after Rangers had won the previous season by 25 points). Meanwhile- English Premier League teams were busy giving jobs to Lampard and Gerrard as their second ever coaching job. That went well.

This is the reason EPL teams employ former players like Gerrard and Lampard after they have coached for 10 minutes. You don’t really understand the importance of someone working their way up. You realise Alex Ferguson learnt his trade in the Scottish league right? Here you are throwing the names around. Trying to belittle Ange. Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona. At the start of the season Tottenham were going to finish mid table or be relegation fodder. Well that didn’t happen.

Does anyone sees parallels between Ange's first season and Erik's ? Both are system based coaches that initially 'transformed' the way their clubs played - getting good results, being a breath of fresh air while walking into dysfunctional clubs. Like EtH, Ange's side is ambling towards the end of season having been found out by opponents.

Rory Weathervane Jennings has asked for Pochettino's sacking and the reintroduction of Mourinho among other things since August 2023. Now, what he hasn't recognized is that Pochettino has developed Palmer, Madueke, Jackson, Gallagher and Caicedo. Recent results just vindicate the short-sighted nature of English punditry at its very best. Pure sensationalism with little or no football knowledge nor insight for that matter! Enough said! I'm a Spurs fan but I think Rory is largely correct, maybe just a bit 'too soon.' A big chunk of the Spurs fan base are deeply worried about Ange and maybe only willing to give him one more transfer window. Ange's weaknesses are recurrent and obvious and he is not showing any interest or ability to do anything about them.

Where do people this Spurs should finish? If you’d of asked most fans/pundits before a ball was kicked then 5th would have been a good season. Regardless of how they play Spurs are about where they should be. If they played more defensively in certain games then there is no guarantee they would win and if they changed their style they may of picked up less points in other games.
