Sorry but that is a terrible and dumb take, firstly Chelsea were consistently a top 5 club for several seasons when Abramovich bought them and they are now 11th and finished 10th in the first two seasons of the new ownership far worse than pre Abramovich and this is in conjunction with spending an absolutely obscene amount of money. They also inherited the champions of europe and sacked almost everyone involved with the club from the pitch and kit staff to the directors of football. Your take is so simple and lazy it's actually painful, I fully expect simple and lazy takes from football fans but this one is a bit much for me.

I ceased watching Rory's Channel due to his bias against the new owners. It's perplexing how he overlooks Chelsea's past struggles, including sanctions and near-bankruptcy. The new owners had to make the best of the situation they inherited. Rory consistently fails to acknowledge any positives about Chelsea, and I hope he eventually stops supporting the team if his opinions remain toxic. Chelsea, like many other top teams in Europe, has evolved into a global brand, necessitating a shift in mindset. You can't argue against investing in the youth, that's exactly what Real Madrid is benefiting from right now.

@@fantasypgatour firstly Jennings doesn’t know the ownership at Chelsea to make such a dumb comment, secondly Chelsea FC are in transition with a lot of very young players trying to find their feet. Chelsea fans are used to an instant sugar rush and have been spoilt in recent years, the plan is on course and in fact ahead of course by reaching a cup final and an FA Cup semi final. Patience is a virtue, Klopp took a couple of seasons to reach the heights and so did Arteta at Arsenal. People like Jennings are babies who throw their toys from the pram because it’s not immediately going the way they perceived.

@@Perkin84 Yeah he doesn't know any of the people in football he comments on neither do most of these guys tbh, it wouldn't be "talksport" if that was a requirement for them to discuss something it would just be "sport" lol. The plan is not on course as it was very much in the plan to qualify for the champions league both last season and this season not be 10th and then 11th, you don't inherit the champions of Europe and get rid of pretty much every member of staff down to the pitch and kit staff and then employ yourself as director of football with no knowledge of the sport until you fail so spectacularly you have to eat humble pie and employ some other directors of football who so far have done equally as bad, these are objective mistakes that are on the record. I get your point Chelsea fans have been spoilt and I agree but that doesn't take away from how bad this ownership has been in their first couple of seasons.

@@fantasypgatour the plan is on course. It’s unfortunate not to qualify for the UCL but we’re on a learning curve. As for Boehly appointing himself Sporting Director that I agree was a mistake, everyone makes errors even Roman when he took over in 2003, it took until 2005 to win the EPL. At one point we were in danger of folding due to the sanctions imposed on Roman until Clearlake rescued the club. In time they’ll learn and in time Chelsea will be back as a major force. 💙

I get Chelsea have been a successful club over the last 20 years, but the way Rory is talking about having no trophy in 2 years comes across in such an entitled way. Most fans will never see their team claim a major trophy ever. Even with better owners there will likely be a long period chelsea will find it hard competing with City, Liverpool and Arsenal, they are so far off already and ffp with hinder them further.
