He played it left edge...it broke hard. Tough putt. He hit it exactly the way he wanted too.

Rory that was tough brother. I'm sorry. You're a true competitor, take your time and come back even stronger. You got this.

He lost the open with three bogeys in 4 holes not just this putt. This putt would have put him in a playoff had circumstances unfolded the way they did after this. Get your headlines right.

What is forgotten is that was a severe left to right downhill putt. It was no gimme even though it was a short putt. Go back to the broadcast and here the commentators mention he left the chip shot to the flag above the hole. During the week Rory had to chip in’s off the green and Sunday he made I believe three putts over 20 feet. So the two short putts down the stretch are the ones we focus on.

not sure if it's either the nerve or bad decisions on the putt, but he was strongly ahead of bryson. the whole thing is heartbreaking to watch.

I think it’s the nerves of him being in an absolute drought. Guy choked this one away

People wonder why the pros at practice stand 2 feet from the cup and rinse, cycle, repeat for hours on end !😳. And still, this can happen.

Scary putt… i woulda had to go left edge with a lotta pace to take the nerves out a lil bit😬

Was while putting- maybe just thinking about all the money Bryson got from LIV - that Rory passed up. Also, having PGAT fans cheering against Rory chanting USA/USA must have hurt Rory. There is no shame in a 2nd place US Open placing - even if Rory has lost his confidence and he might never win another major. Good luck at the Open Rory. 😀

That was tracking in the center of the hole and darted right. It almost looks like it hit something.

It's crazy that he pissed this away. This had been his best putting round in a major probably ever. Even pissing these 2 putts away he still gained like 2.2 strokes putting which is nuts. His driver was marvelous, his short game was too. He had one dumb mistake on 5 (after a really bad break) where he went for birdie and brought bogey into play. If his iron was a foot longer he may have been putting for eagle. Bryson was wild off the tee all day long. Rory really did outplay him almost all day. Bryson did get a bit lucky with the native area but it happens. When it came down to it, he made the up and down of his life to win. I would say this is shocking but as a Rory fan since 2011...it's sadly just not. I have realized he doesnt care about winning. If he did he would have canned that useless buddy of his on the bag. Harry Diamond adds nothing to his round - never has.

How's it feel to root for a cry baby like Cryson? (I dislike chokelroy as well. But Cryson makes every excuse in the book, blames clubs, talks "science" like he's smart, he's an idiot. I never seen a more douchebag of a player. And his fake ass nice guy act, oh man. He's as cringe as his fans.
