McIlroy seems lost. He competes, but he just doesn't get it done. Then too, he is all twisted up with this PGA/LIV circus. As for golf, Rory can hit the ball a long way, but his iron play is not up to elite level. At the Masters, Scottie put the ball on the green where he could score. He was a surgeon. Meanwhile, I saw Rory airmailing greens with 9-irons or leaving the ball 30 feet short where making a putt involved saying a prayer. And this, in my mind is why Rory has not won the Masters. He is not precise enough for those greens. Maybe he is just lost and can't focus.

Rory should join LIV and take the money before the PGA partners with LIV and Rory gets nothing.

If McIlroy is truly and fully committed to the PGA Tour, then he should probably be back on the advisory board. You can give up on the idea that we'll see the best players in the world competing against each other on a weekly basis. LIV isn't going anywhere. It doesn't need to. We would be more likely to see both tours get together in what would be considered now as "Signature Events". Six to eight events each season, excepting the majors, where the players from the two tours would compete against each other. A return of the WGC events could serve that purpose.

Hate to say this, pro golfers take the job to MAKE MONEY FIRST, not to compete with Nicklaus and Tiger on Major wins. It’s about lifestyle and why we love LIV, we see great players having fun.

Could be a good thing for golf as he seems to want to bring things together where other player directors seem to want to keep it split. Not sure it's going to be good for his golf though, although at the moment I'm not sure anything is.

I think this is a major distraction especially since monahan is still running around like a feral ferret - had monahan been replaced it might be argued that the PGA and LIV were ready to come to a compromise but this looks like more confusion. Rory's not getting any younger and I for one would love to see him go on a winning streak.

What does it mean? the pga tour is being run by these 3 golden of golden boys; enabled by this recycle able small circle of role players. Of course if they just had a better leader leader none of this would be needed. But Instead we get this strange phenomenon of guys dropping in and out of this small group of directors and making claims for each other to replace each other. Meanwhile I’m watching Stewart Cink today wonder in his 50s how much of this ssg cash he is going to get. And I’m thinking why does any business want to give Stewart cink money for nothing? maybe LIv would take Stewart cink, but they are definitely not gonna break any bank for him at this point. So It’s just really strange business practice. Imho. I do hope Rory has learned enough to be a proponent of dropping the required number of pga tour events, and make it so most of those names on LIv are at the big pga tour events; as well as any other events they want to be in, including playoffs if they qualify. Also that they need to be able to go to LIv themselves. But ask LIv to drop to 10-12 events to open up the schedule for other tours. Reallly. That. Simple. But something tells me it won’t be; especially with Rory back in the spotlight. If they don’t come together the pga tour needs to stop trying to please everyone and use that ssg money for 3 things: to compete for valuable players willing to go with LIv, To raise purses. And to improve the on site and television product.

Lots of people can wear two hats simultaneously, few are highly successful at both. If Rory wishes to be a player/board member he must commit equally to both. The success of the PGA tour is dependent upon marquee players continuing to exhibit great skill on the course, and should that diminish due to those players being distracted the entire tour will suffer. During the era of Jack Nicklaus several players held 7,8,or 9 major titles. Who does that today? Would becoming more involved in off course activities make for better play? I would not place my bets on that one.

Rory should go to LiV. He doesn’t seem to have as much fun as he should. Maybe less golf will do him good? 🤷‍♂️

Hmmm…. Rory back in the fold with a new and improved attitude helping bringing the PGA and LIV together. Personally I just want WRP for LIV players so some can qualify for majors and not necessarily any regular PGA events.

As long as he takes on the role with an open mind I think it could be a good thing as long as he doesn’t revert to the ‘us and them’ narrative he previously had with LIV. I’m not a PGA or a LIV fan, I’m a GOLF fan and love to watch both tours. All this silliness has done nothing, but harm things and if Im honest none of it from what I’ve seen has come from the LIV side.

I find that the whole idea concerning the PGA and LIV….ridiculous. Why do the players need such control and involvement. These players are making mega money. To be honest....I have completely lost all interest in the PGA versus LIV battle. I will continue to watch the four Majors but completely given up watching and following the PGA tour. It's just a bunch of very rich hypocrites getting richer. Finally, the four Majors need to review their entry criteria so that we get the World's best players. The Majors aren't the property of the PGA tour.
