Rosé has one of the most unique vocals I’ve ever heard. People use the word “unique” often but Rosé is the first vocalist I’ve heard that it genuinely applies to. I’ve never heard anyone like her. Her voice in itself sounds AMAZING live. I don’t even know how to describe it honestly. It really just touches my soul. The emotion and feeling in her voice. The way she tells stories with her vocals and songs is so refreshing.

All the songs she chosed to cover on that day were by groups: "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay "December" by Neck Deep "Don't Look Back In Anger" by Oasis She was noticed by Coldplay and Neck Deep for covering their songs and they also wished her a happy birthday. Everytime she covers, the artists notice her. The reason behind her choosing these song are probably because this all are some of her peak nostalgic songs by groups. I mean "December" is probably a song that I also listened to a lot during mid school. I was so surprised when she covered it. I really love your genuine reaction. I think Rosé choose those songs to let us take a glimpse of her true nature, the girl who has so much respect for music(that is why most of her covers are from genre outside kpop, and most of it are not generally popular or in the latest trend) As she have said in the "light up the sky", she doesn't want to be remembered just as the girl who writes songs and can sing. She wants us to look forward as she tells a story through music. For her three cover, It changes from time-to-time depending on the mood that I have. Viva la vida : when I'm in a mood to think that things are too late, just wanna feel sorry for my imperfections and have to be ready for whatever consequences I have to face. December : whenever I feel so down and I have to let go on something but I don't think I deserve being left behind, but feeling the pain is necessary to overcome it and acceptance to let go and move on is a must. December is so cold, the end of a year.. but is is just one of the twelve months, this too shall pass Don't look back in anger : whenever I am in a very down mood because I think I am being left behind, that at my age I don't feel like I have been successful or my growth as an individual have been so slow. This reminds me not to be harsh on myself.. that everyone have each on pace. Not to look back in anger but just learn from what happened and appreciate things as they've been. There are very few voices that seriously pierce your soul and cause you to feel multiple emotions all at once. I would say you could name them on one hand. Rose' is one of the best. The tone of her voice is instantly and undeniably penetrating. It touches primeval feelings inside of you. It is a soulful cry out of the wilderness. She touches you on deep levels.

Rosé really cover lots of English songs but she also did some Korean songs too. There’s one in Sea of hope, mask singer, and my favorite would be her solo stage during their world tour where she covered Let it be+ you and I+ only look at me. There’s one where she sang Eyes,nose, lip while playing guitar but bcuz of copyright or smth the fan cam couldn’t take the proper footage of her but it’s still so good

The guitarist is Løren, the guy in Lovesick Girls. They already collaborated in one of her old IG mini-concert. This seems to be inside The Black Label studio, Teddy’s music label under which Løren is an artist. She was adjusting the mic volume. You will notice the volume of her mic went a bit down after fiddling with the knobs. This is as raw as you can hear in a studio. She used the camera audio; I mean the audio playing is what the camera captured. A Rosé and Løren collab will be a dream come true! Rosé indeed blessing us with glorious British rock song covers on her birthday. She mostly covers English songs, but did some Korean covers in Sea of Hope 😊. She has great taste in music-she listens to different genres as you will see in her Spotify playlist. She truly is a musician and artist.

Yes!!! you nailed it, just Rosé's voice with an acoustic guitar just HITS different. Her voice is an instrument all on its own. Idk if you have already but you should search up "rosé singing" or "rosé playing an instrument for 13 minutes straight" and watch some of her stripped down covers she has done (I.e. Fallin' all in you (Shawn Mendes) or Let it go (James Bay). I know you've already checked out her cover with Onew (Lucky) but please check out her other covers on Sea of Hope. In the 13:08 you can feel the raw emotions of the lyrics through her voice. She's really story-telling and it's something that really tells her apart of other vocalists in the kpop industry, she focus on the emotion of the song, the techniques are only to support the emotions, not the most important thing, she has this artistry that is so beautiful (and not so common these days)

For me her voice are just like emotions. Whenever she sings it stirs something in my soul and I feel emotions I havent felt in a long time like anger or sadness. She lets me reexperience some of my saddest moments in life but also happiest moments which i never experienced feom any other artist. For example when I heard these three covers i felt joy fron viva la vida and sadness from "December" and "Dont look back" to the point of completly tearing up. I simply do not know why her voice is manipulating me so much but it does. Sorry for spamming.

for a Korean cover you should check out "King of Masked Singer" she performed "If it is you" (original by Jung Seung Hwan, brilliant song and singer) it is mesmerizing, can highly recommend (the channel TV-People has it with english subs and a stupid amount of views (well not really it is Rosé))

They really are great covers, it never ceases to amaze me how she can take over someone else's song with her own emotions. She would be a truly great rock singer if she decided to go that way. I only wish she had used a condenser instead of a dynamic mike, i guess its a personal choice and it may have been the effect she wanted. Its really clever how she used the camera mike to record the amplified vocals and guitar from the studio speakers instead the audio out of the mixing desk. It makes it sound like you're in the room chilling with them. Her cover of Wildfire that she also released on her channel was likewise awesome. It was filmed on her phone while playing guitar on the couch at home, she first released it on her Instagram along with a short practice video before posting it on KZfaq. It really is worth a listen. If she ever releases a Album of acoustic, low production covers or some of her own songs with her band mates and or other entertainment friends it will probably cause a worldwide frenzy.
