Since I got lots of great response on last rose comparison video, I am thinking to do a rose comparison video every month. We can observe how roses look different as season goes even though I might need to show some roses that doesn't look its best at the middle of our hot and wet summer.
I think it is important to show how the roses really looks like here especially when I don't spray my roses at the peak of pest and disease season.
Name of each roses are listed in the video. Feel free to share your experience of the roses in your area as it will help others to understand how the same rose can bloom so differently with different climate. Enjoy! 🥰

The roses are so nice to see sitting side by side on your table like that. The blooms are huge and they’re all so pretty can’t pick a favourite.

Monthly comparison videos will be great as that would help figure out bloom seasons - especially which roses would work in summer.

9b here…Earth Angel is my all time favorite rose- I currently have 3. It has the most amazing scent! David Austin does do well for me here. I just ordered Ballerina hybrid musk and Florentina!

I plan to order another Earth Angel as well with Palatine roses. It is indeed a really good rose.

I love these videos. So glad I got Souer Emmanuelle and Traviata. Though my Souer Emmanuelle hasn't bloomed yet I know it will be a great rose. I just had to get it after seeing your video. Traviata blooms are gorgeous and do not fade and last so long for me. Your Strawberry Hill blooms is so beautiful 💜

I love Barni rose. Guess Italian rose is actually doing well in the heat and humidity. Anna Fendi is a must have!!

As always I enjoyed it! Our temperatures was 118 yesterday and today everything burned .I hope they recover, I am very 😞

@@backyardparadise2334 ahahaha. i like blasting them with water. there is thing pebble things that is used for veggie growing to keep the bugs off, but doesnt harm the plant…it is soooooo useful. i use it for my roses once a month cuase im paranoid about thrips AND especially, japanese bettles!!. they bural into the ground and attack eat the wood!

I blasted lots of pest with water but thrips is something that's impossible to blast with water coz that suckers hide deep in the petals... the only thing that might work is systemic pesticide but thrips gain immunity to pesticide after a while and you got to switch to something else strongest. Pain in the ass...😑

Hi! Can just love comparisons like this! So helpful! I have my roses in color families and I really enjoy that but sometimes it’s difficult to decide which exact rose would work as a good companion in that certain color group. Where would Rouge Royale Rose land itself? Is it more raspberry red than warm red? Thank you! 🙂

Rouge Royale is more cold red in my opinion. When it is hot, the color can be warmer.

Great video and thank you for it. I'm in fl zone 9 & curious to know how often does your Florentina & Eden bloom? Does one bloom more often & give more flushes a year? Thanks again.

Both of them doesn't bloom well for me the first 2 years. Florentina has zero bloom the first year. Now they are both in 3rd year and blooming and repeat a lot better. Florentina bloom will looks and take the heat a lot better than Eden during summer time. Eden blooms are very meh under the heat but it is spectacular in spring. Hope I answer your questions.

Give Ascot the chance 😀 I have got 10 years old Ascot roses, they have a lot of long lasting flowers. One thing You should do about them is to cut Ascots near ground after every winter😉 It is a German rose and it likes strong cutting. I have a garden in Poland, zone 6b😀

@@backyardparadise2334 I have almost 70 varieties of roses in my garden but my neighbors like Ascots the most.😀 They bloom all the time since June to November. I cut them in March 5-10 cm from the ground. And believe me they have 140cm in November😀

Do you have a video featuring only corntesse de segur? That rose and seour emmaneulle are making me rethink my entire spring rose plans. 🙈 I feel like seour is a dupe for brother cadfael except she actually reblooms!!!

Lol!!! Trust me, Soeur Emmanuelle is a lot more beautiful than Brother Cadfael. I am on the verse to throw away BC...🤣🤣 I will try to do a video about Comtesse de Segur when it started to bloom more.

Yes. It repeats thru out the year but it doesn't bloom a lot for me.

Wow I have never even heard of Corntesse de segur before! And it’s almost peony like! It’s a strong repeater even? I may have to add it to my list! Do you need a strong nose to smell it? Also do you grow Olivia rose? I always hear that to be labeled as a landscape rose as well

I have pretty bad nose. Lol!!! So I guess not. I have Olivia rose and totally not recommend for the South because it doesn't repeat and bloom a lot under the heat and thrips love it!!!

Comtesse de Segur bloom last very long on the bush and that's why it always looks like it is covered in bloom. One amazing rose.

I bought Anna Fendi from Roses Unlimited and planted in the beginning of June. It grew about 6 feet tall and I pruned her back to about 4 and half feet. I want to maintain this height as a shrub. Will this affect her blooming?

No. It won't. Keep pruning it, it will send the energy to bush out the plant instead of growing tall canes

Hi Seng, Does Red Traviata rose bloom in clusters? Is it fragrant? I am looking for a red rose to plant in the front of my flowerbed border which is fragrant, blooms very well. Not too tall.
